Gdansk Dluga Street
We begin our private Gdańsk tour in the heart of the city – Main Town. Strolling along the Royal Route, you’ll admire Gdańsk’s top landmarks, including the Golden Gate, Neptune’s Fountain, Artus Court, Main Town Hall, and Long Market. Your local guide in Gdańsk will share fascinating stories and take you to hidden spots that many tourists miss.
Motlawa River Embankment (Dlugie Pobrzeze)
Next, we’ll visit the Old Port with its charming waterfront, before heading to Mariacka Street, considered the most beautiful street in Gdańsk, famous for its amber boutiques and Gothic architecture. We spent a wonderful day with Bozhena (I hope I have spelled this correctly!) She was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk to. She always asked if we would like to see something and accommodating of what we wanted to see and do. It couldn’t have been nicer from the start to the finish. We walked the old town and learned about the history. It is a charming town. We then moved on to the ship yards to pay respects and learn more than we had known about the brave people that stood up for their rights. So glad we went there. We then went to Oliwska, were treated to some local, delicious pastries, and walked through a beautiful park with many different trees and beautiful flowers. At the end of this walk it was a real treat to hear an organ concert in a beautiful church. We ended the tour at Sopot on the Baltic Sea. It is a charming sea town resort with a long pier that we walked out on. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day with bright blue skies and the sea as well.
