Fort Cornwallis

Fort Cornwallis is the largest standing fort in Malaysia. Set close to the Esplanade and Penang Clock Tower, the star-shaped bastion is one of the oldest structures in Penang. Named after Marquis Charles Cornwallis, only a set of ten-foot high outer walls remain, with an enclosed park within.

Pinang Peranakan Mansion

The Pinang Peranakan Mansion is a stately mansion, refurbished to reflect bygone days of the Straits Chinese settlement in Penang. This magnificent townhouse is the former residence and office of Chinese Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee. He was a 19th century Hakka tin-miner and secret society leader of Hai San. The Pinang Peranakan Mansion is filled with more than 1,000 antiques and collectibles. The residence is unique and incorporates various Chinese architecture. The townhouse, built in the 1890s incorporates Chinese carved-wood panels, with English floor tiles and Scottish iron works.

We had 4 tours with our guide Phillip, he was punctual, helpful and friendly. Being born and bred in Penang he was a font of all knowledge and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. The car was clean, comfortable and he was a very safe driver. Communication with him was good via WhatsAPP and very good with the company. The company was flexible and reliable and delivered to expectations. We went on the Penang Hill tour, the round Penang Island tour and the Georgetown heritage and street art tours. All were great and very flexible. I would recommend the company and Phillip to all wanting to explore Penang.
