State Historical-Artistic Reserve Gobustan is a unique monument of world importance and in the year 2007 has been included to the UNESCO World Heritage List. There is an area of 537 hectares of concentrated testimonies of the inhabitants of the region of the Stone Age era and subsequent periods with rock paintings, the human lot, tombstones, etc.
Gobustan National Park: The archaeological side of Gobustan is very in with monuments. The reserve has more than 6,000 rock engravings dating back between 5,000 – 40,000 years. Visitors also view the remains of inhabited caves.

5.00After reading the reviews, we called in for a last minute private tour. Karim spoke good English, accommodated to our requests, quoted us reasonably lower than the hotel tour desk. Joshgun the co owner and our guide met us the next day at our hotel lobby. Good command of English, courteous & responsible driver was a great start. Deep knowledge of his country and others as he is an avid traveller himself. Never felt rushed, patiently explaining, waiting and taking photos for us. Instead of 6h it went to 8.5h tour without any hint of extra charges. Simply passionate about his job and not money minded. My friend left her sunglasses in the car without realising it. Joshgun called and returned it to our hotel room the next day. The extra miles he rendered is beyond what we had bargained for. Thank you so much Caspi Tours for this fabulous service! Highly recommended
