On this private 4x4 tour, your local Finnish guide chases clear skies and real-time aurora forecasts with one mission: to get you under the Northern Lights. With no kilometer limits, we'll go as far as we have to.
You'll ride in a comfort of warm off-road vehicle built for Lapland's toughest conditions. We'll be stopping at scenic spots along the way to make sure we don't miss anything.
And we believe in fairness - if the aurora doesn't appear, you'll receive 30% refund, no questions asked. That is our Aurora Guarantee. Last season we had over 90% success rate on our tours, so we are confident in giving this promise.

5.00This is a must-do experience while visiting Levi. Lauri drove us about an hour away to the border of a national park where there’s no light pollution. There was a Kota, warming hut, where he lit a fire to keep us warm, provided marshmallows for the kids to roast and tea for the adults. We stood in the middle of a lake and watched for the lights on several occasions throughout our experience. Lauri was very knowledgeable, great with the kids and a lot of fun. It was a highlight of our trip

5.00We booked the private Northern lights tour for our family which was excellent! Our guide Lauri checked the weather forecasts and aurora activity to drive us to a location which would give us the best opportunity to see the lights. We had a while to wait but the kids had fun helping Lauri make a camp fire and cooking sausages & marshmallows. This would have been a fantastic experience in itself however our patience was finally rewarded and we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. Whilst driving back to our apartment Lauri kept a check for any further activity and found a second place to stop to see the lights again. Lauri spent over 6hrs with us and we were not hurried even when the activity forecasts did not look good. It was such a memorable evening - I’d definitely recommend booking.

5.00If you are serious about seeing the northern lights, this private tour is definitely the way to go! Our guide Lauri did everything possible to find the lights for us, including driving to Sweden to get the best chance. We unfortunately went when the activity level was low, the clouds were blanketing Levi and the moon was at half show which didn’t make for the best conditions. Lauri drove out of the cloud covered area, in driving snow, to get us into clear skies and after a while waiting, the lights appeared. He used many different data sets to develop a personal plan and took us wherever he needed to go to find the lights for us. This was different from the other tours that just seem to go to predetermined spots. We took several other tours while in Levi and none of them even remotely compared to this private tour. If we had not taken this tour, there is no way we would have seen the lights as brilliantly as we did. After listening to some of the things we were interested in doing on our trip, he also set up an arctic polar plunge/spa trip for us which allowed us to check off a bucket list item. Take my word for it, this tour is worth every penny.

5.00Even though aurora that day was quite weak we managed to catch it. Overall experience was a great adventure with some off-road driving, fire camp in the middle of nowhere under the stars. Beautiful scenery!

We had great visibility of the Northern Lights and Lauri helped me organize the surprise and get some incredible photos. 5.00The forecast for our week in Lapland was looking terrible for catching aurora, we had a cloudy forecast, so I honestly think we wouldn’t see the lights had it not been for Lauri that took us 100km north of Levi to escape the clouds. He truly made the research and knew exactly which way to drive and what direction to turn. And wow did the lights put on a show that we will remember forever. The moment they began dancing across the sky, it felt like witnessing pure magic. Lauri’s expertise was incredible - he knew exactly where to take us to capture the most breathtaking views of the aurora borealis. On the way he also took us to a local bar/petrol stop that was so lovely and authentic it also made it like more than just an aurora hunting tour. He also made photos of us with his camera that is such a priceless memory we get to keep forever. Thank you Lauri!

5.00Highly recommend Lazy Santa Tours. We took the Northern Lights private tour, the conditions weren’t great but Lauri used his experience and knowledge of the local area to maximise our chances and yeah we got to see the beautiful northern lights. Genuinely couldn’t have done it without you Lauri, thank you. And the snow fire pit, sausages and random Reindeer sightings were a bonus. Book this tour, you won’t be disappointed 😊

5.00After the first experience hunting auroras with the jeep we asked Lauri to organize all the other activities we wanted to do in Levi. He organized and accompanied us on a wonderful snowhiking with a stop in a kota to warm up and make a barbecue. Rely on Lauri to plan activities throughout your stay... she will give you great advice on what to do even on your own: aurora, food, things to see... Super recommended !
