5.00My daughter and I had a wonderful time learning about the Arenal Volcano and Mistico park! We would have missed more than half of the fascinating facts and animal sighting without our fantastic guide, Rasta! His love for the rainforest and his passion in sharing his knowledge of the area is apparent even in the first few minutes of the tour. It’s also convenient (and delicious) to have lunch included and on the way between hikes. We learned so much more with Rasta about both Mistico and Arenal volcano than we would have if we visited the parks to hike on our own and he made it so enjoyable.

5.00Juan Carlos was great! Very knowledgeable and was able to communicate well in English. We drove ourselves and we followed him in his car. He used his tour guide discount so we paid less for our tickets. We had enough time to enjoy each spot and he was very flexible. Would definitely recommend! It was comforting that at every stop and along each walk the rest of the guides knew him. Thank you Juan Carlos!

5.00Juan C is a great guide. He is genuinely enthusiastic about the beautiful natural environment around La Fortuna and Arenal. We did pay a bit extra for Juan to use his vehicle for the tours. His vehicle is small, but safe and very clean. Juan is also very proficient with his spotting scope. He was able to take my phone and take stunning pictures through the scope. On the Sunday we toured with Juan, there was another group doing an identical itinerary in a big tour bus. I was so happy we were with Juan rather than on a large tour. The private tour is definitely worth the negligible premium. Book with Juan. You won't regret it.

5.00Wow! We had an awesome day with Juan. From seeing amazing birds and four legged animals to flowers and plants, we had a lot of fun. Juan was super knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time. Lunch was fun and delicious at a soda. I would recommend everyone booking a tour with Juan for a fantastic time in Arsenal/La Fortuna.

5.00Thank you, Juan, for being punctured!! We had a great day with Juan, our private tour guide. We got to see some animals inside the Mystic Park. Juan used his telescope and was very skillful in setting up the telescope in no time. The price of this tour is just the "time" with the tour guide. Discuss with the tour operator if you want all-inclusive, including round-trip pick-up/drop-off, lunch, and entrance tickets, etc. Overall, we had a great day with Juan!!

5.00My husband and I had an incredible time on the Hanging Bridges, Arenal Volcano, and La Fortuna Waterfalls tour in Costa Rica! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our guide, Juan Carlos, was outstanding—super knowledgeable about the area and highley educated which made the whole experience even more memorable. Not only did he share interesting facts about the surroundings, but he also took us in his private car, which added a personal touch to the journey. We got to see a variety of wildlife, including cows, an iguana, a toucan, a sloth, a viper snake and plenty of other amazing birds. Juan Carlos also took personalized photos of the wildlife that we saw with our smartphone camera through his telescope lens. The hanging bridges offered breathtaking views, and the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna Waterfalls were just stunning. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area—it was an unforgettable experience, and we felt lucky to have Juan Carlos as our guide. Five stars all the way!

5.00We had great communication from the very beginning with Juan, but due to a schedule conflict, he referred us to Chino, a local resident of La Fortuna, who is an experienced freelance guide. Chino also was really easy to communicate with, and he was very flexible with our preferences. He created a custom adventure for us which included Hanging Bridges and Danaus Ecological Park and Butterfly Garden Tour. Having a guide is essential to having an amazing experience here, as they are very in tune with the environment and know the places to look for the wildlife and explain how the flora and fauna work together to create a beautiful habitat. Some of the most exciting moments were off the beaten path, where he was able to point out things that one would not see even if they were trying to spot them! Chino was excellent with our two small children, offering education and highlights that were relatable, easy to understand and his use of tools (pointer, binoculars, etc.) was extraordinary. Not only all of this, but his demeanor, personality and overall knowledge of birds, plants, insects, and the area in general was incredible. He is also an AMAZING photographer and was kind to share photos of our day afterwards. When asked about what our highlight was, it was an easy answer - having him share the day with us! 5.00I had an amazing tour experience with Juan and my partner. We met Juan at Hanging Bridges park, did an hour and a half tour of the park. Next we went to the Mirador El Silencio hike along the Arenal volcano. After lunch at Soda el hormiga, we went to the Arena waterfall. All of our stops were excellent. At all points in the tour, Juan was giving us interesting facts and his opinions. He’s very knowledge about wildlife and other ecological issues. He’s so kind and passionate about his work. A GREAT way to spend your day in Arenal and well worth the money.
