What To Expect
E-foil, otherwise known as "electric hydrofoiling" is a fun and exciting adventure watersport activity accessible by all ages and levels of fitness. You hold a remote control that connects via Bluetooth to the battery-powered e-foil, and when you squeeze the trigger a small propellor accelerates you forward. There are small aeroplane-like wings attached to the bottom of the e-foil which provide lift out of the water once you achieve enough speed. Children ride tandem with instructors, and those with less balance can try our flyer pod to add extra stability. We start out our e-foil experience by fitting you with the appropriate safety equipment, followed by a safety briefing at the beach. From there our experienced e-foil instructors will guide you step by step to master the art of e-foiling. First, you will start laying down, or on your knees, experiencing short thrills of controlled flying over water. Then our instructors will guide you on how to safely stand, before progressing to controlled flight whilst standing. Make sure to let our instructors know in advance if you would like us to create a highlights video of your E-foil Experience for an additional RM120/group.

5.00The most fun water activity I've ever done. The instructor Zig is friendly and supportive. Being able to stand up and gliding on water feel amazing. There isn't many places in the world that you can do an e-foil. This is definitely the one thing I'd do in Kota Kinabalu

5.00Signed up for a 2-hour e-foil experience with Waterfly Borneo. It was fun for a beginner like myself. There was a safety briefing before going into the water. All the required gears were well prepared. The instructor was patient and encouraging as I learned to balance and glide above the water. Highly recommended for adventure seekers of all levels.

3.00As a confident wingfoiler thought I would be ok but had real problems couldn’t stand up on the efoil for very long tried for an hour and as I was getting out of the water I noticed the front wing was not tightened up properly and was wobbling a bit this was the same problem I had had before and should have recognised so partially my fault and this did go a long way to making the whole experience unsatisfactory. Sorry guys but please check your equipment before taking out paying customers.
