London is so amazing but hectic, so why not have a relaxing day in the English Countryside instead, visiting The Cotswolds & beyond, on a Downton Abbey themed tour.
We visit Highclere Castle, grounds & gardens, home of Lord & Lady Grantham, Lady Mary & the Dowager (CASTLE/GARDEN TICKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED & MUST BE PURCHASED BY CLIENT)
We then tour the beautiful Cotswold villages & countryside that Downton Abbey brought to our screens in both TV & film & is a truly remarkable place.
We stop at shops, churches, market squares, thatched cottages, village halls, cricket greens & rose gardens.
Lunch can be taken in an Old English Pub where you can relax, eating perhaps fish n chips or some local ales?
Or we can take you to a very English Garden tea shop … the choice is both yours & endless!
The afternoon is then spent driving through more countryside & villages, chauffeured by your very own 'Branson', before returning to your own place of residence whilst listening to music of your choice.

We walk around the delightful Downton Abbey village on the edge of the Cotswolds & visit St Mary’s Church, The Crawley house, Village Green & see where so many scenes were filmed in stunning Bampton.
Highclere Castle
IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED Highclere Castle tickets then you spend 2-3 hours taking in the magnificence of the actual present day Aristocratic Castle of Lord & Lady Canarvon. You will see the interior & grounds where the Grantham’s lived & where so much of the Downton drama played out. TICKETS AVAILABLE VIA HIGHCLERE CASTLE WEBSITE.

5.00Barry was our driver for a private tour for a group of four adults going to Downton Abbey. His knowledge was amazing. He made our full day tour very enjoyable. Barry also showed us the villages that were used to film the series. He took photos of our group throughout the day which will provide wonderful memories of our day. We highly recommend Barry for any tour that you may be interested in. You will not be disappointed!

5.00Great trip to the Cotswolds. Barry did an amazing job showing me all the downtown locations. He was very knowledgeable about the area and accommodated my shopping whims when requested. A highlight for me was lunch at the bell pub. The door to door service, made the day excursion enjoyable and convenient. I hope to return to London soon and partake in another Barry tour !

5.00The best tour we have done. Unfortunately Highclere Castle wasn’t open on our tour day but Barry made our day fantastic and made up for it . He is a fantastic guide who made us feel like part of his family for the whole day . I highly recommend Barry’s Tours ,you won’t be disappointed. I loved the cricket banter ..seeing as us Aussies won !!🥇

5.00Great day. We also did the Highclere Castle tour with high tea which took three hours. Barry Ivens folded the rest of the day around that experience and he was a joy to be with. My family loved the day.

5.00If I could give Barry one million stars, I would! Despite Highclere not being open to the public the day we booked our tour (boo!), Barry made our day and adventures so wonderful. We stopped in several villages in the Cotswolds to shop and he took us to a garden center cafe for lunch. He never rushed us at all, but instead allowed us to meander through the towns at our own pace. The highlight, of course, was stopping at the “Downton Abbey Village,” where we saw several locations used during the show’s filming. He was so kind to take pictures of our group, even without us asking. At one point during our drive, I started feeling carsick (hello windy, bumpy English streets!), and he had no problem pulling over to let me walk and breathe some fresh air. My only complain was that it all had to end. :-( We loved our day with Barry and would highly recommend his private day tour to anyone! You won’t be sorry you booked with him.
