Annandale Falls
Just a short drive from the capital, Annandale Falls are enclosed in a garden of green and a wall of rocks covered in soft ferns and other vegetation. A dip is most invigorating. Or simply revel in the beauty and sounds of the falls. Spend time in the surrounding gardens where tropical flowers and trees flourish and visit the Interpretation Centre, Bar and Restaurant.
Grand Etang Lake
The most popular areas in Grenada for hiking and trekking is undoubtedly the rainforest around the Grand Etang Forest Reserve, high up in the mountains of the island’s interior. Grand Etang’s flora includes towering mahogany and giant gommier trees as well as a multitude of ferns, tropical flowers, and other indigenous plants. The lush vegetation provides shelter for a wide variety of animals, particularly for the island’s many species of birds. The broad winged hawk, Lesser Antillean swift, Antillean euphonia, purple throated carib, Antillean crested hummingbird and the Lesser Antillean tanager (known as the soursop) are all common sights. In addition, Grand Etang is populated by plenty of frogs and lizards, as well as playing host to opossums, armadillos, mongoose, and the Mona monkey.

Private Island Tour by the Hour We picked this one to see some parts of Grenada that we haven’t been to before. Didn’t want to hit some of the touristy spots in St. George. We had been there before on our own and explored the city. This time we wanted to see the mountains, rain forests and waterfalls. Alvin picked us up at our resort for a 4 hour tour. We drove north to Grand Etang Forest Reserve. The small villages and views were amazing. We opted to not do the hike at Grand Etang as it was raining. We visited Grand Etang Lake and headed to Annandale Falls. We parked and walked a short distance to the falls. The entire area was beautiful. The trees and plants were spectacular. Alvin did a fantastic job in showing us the different plants and flowers. He explained how they were used in cooking and medicines. He was very passionate about his island and that made us enjoy it even more. On the way down from the mountains , we stopped at a chocolate factory for a short tour. The gentleman in the shop gave a very informative overview of the process. Shopped in his shop for some chocolate to take home and were on our way. There was a vanilla tree outside the store that Alvin pointed out to me. After another short drive we stopped at Fort Frederick which overlooks St George and the Caribbean Sea. The fort and the views were mind blowing. Everyone we met were very happy and helpful They love their country and enjoy sharing it with visitors. Grenada we will be back and will do more tours with ToursGrenada.

A fantastic, informative, sightseeing day out and we’d a great time experiencing and exploring the different places, cultures and sights on the island with Marcus our Guide and Driver, a genuinely nice man, in his luxurious SUV. Our day trip out was unforgettable and enhanced with the huge amount of information given. We started our day with some history of the island including visiting some of the monuments on the island. We toured around the City, down to the harbour area and then headed for the rainforest climbing to nearly 1500 metres, some fantastic views. Onto Grand Etang National Park in the dense rainforest and the tranquil crater lake, a large water mass, full of different species of fish, many not originally indigenous. We cracked fresh Nutmeg to reveal the red mace and nutmeg along with opening a coco pod and seeing and tasting the chocolate pods inside, fantastic Then onto the Monkeys, a little staged but you got up close to them. We also stopped at Annandale Falls a beautiful cascade tucked into a tropical garden setting. It looked lovely and refreshing. We’d a lovely lunch and a very potent Rum Punch there. Very quiet and tranquil setting. No visit would be complete without experiencing the famous spices, chocolate and Rum sites and of course sampling them all. Driving later in the day along the coast, we enjoyed views of the Caribbean Sea and stopped briefly at Grand Anse Beach. Its long beach strip, soft white sand and crystal clear water. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Throughout the day, what stood out most was the friendliness of the people, the beauty and colourfulness of the island and the relaxed pace of life. Grenada is a stunning island to visit. Marcus shared fascinating stories about the island’s history and culture, adding depth to every stop and making it a wonderful and enjoyable personal excursion. We will be back to visit Grenada again soon and we will certainly be booking another trip with Markus to continue exploring the island . Love in the house.

You'll start your trip in a van with a stranger. Then within 2 minutes. You'll feel like you're in your friends van. Marcus was our guide. He has an ability to welcome you unlike any other. You'll feel right at home. He loves his island. He explained in depth everything we went to see. His knowledge is unremarkable. We know more about Grenada than we ever could have found out on our own. We spent 6 hours with Marcus. We let him lead. There was no rush it is an amazing country. Booked a trip request Marcus, there will be no regrets. I can assure you of that.

This tour was amazing! I would highly recommend anyone visiting Grenada to take this tour and ask for Marcus as your tour guide. Marcus was extremely friendly and unbelievably knowledgeable about all aspects of the island. My wife and I loved the entire day but I think our favorite part was having the Mona monkeys jumping on us! We learned so much about the different fruits and flowers and actually got to taste the coco fruit before it actually becomes chocolate. I know when we come back to Grenada we will definitely be contacting Marcus for another tour!
