This private tour is perfect for those who want to fully experience the charm of Hakone in just half a day.
The greatest strength of this tour is its flexibility. Taking into account the season, weather, and your personal preferences, our experienced guide will propose a customized itinerary during a briefing at your pick-up point. For example, if you’d like to enjoy Hakone’s stunning views from various angles, you can choose a plan that includes Lake Ashi, the Hakone Ropeway, and Owakudani. If you’re interested in visiting power spots, a plan with Hakone Shrine is recommended. For those who enjoy drinks, we can also arrange a plan visiting Hakone’s wineries or craft breweries.
Due to time constraints, we will visit selected recommended spots, and depending on your pick-up location, it may not be possible to cover all the places you wish to see. Typically, we visit 3–4 locations.

What To Expect
Hakone Shrine: Hakone Shrine, situated on the shores of Lake Ashi, is a historically significant shrine known for its sacred atmosphere. The beautiful shrine buildings, harmoniously integrated with the surrounding nature, and the iconic vermillion torii gate seemingly floating on the lake's surface, captivate visitors. The reflection of the torii gate and Mount Fuji in the lake creates a breathtaking view. It is also a popular power spot, attracting many worshippers. From the shrine grounds, you can enjoy stunning views of Lake Ashi and, on a clear day, Mount Fuji. Admission fee: Free
Owakudani: Owakudani, accessible via the Hakone Ropeway, is an active volcanic valley still emitting steam. The strong smell of sulfur and the unique landscape offer a truly otherworldly experience. The black eggs, a local specialty, are said to add seven years to your life if you eat one. Geothermal hot springs also abound, providing a unique opportunity to experience the area's volcanic activity. The surrounding area offers numerous onsen (hot springs), foot baths, and souvenir shops. Admission fee: Ropeway fee separate

5.00Our guide Kumi was personable, thoughtful and very accommodating. She set the agenda based on our interests and the tour has been a highlight of our visit in Japan. Kumi arrived at our hotel on time. We set off to the volcano and other places to catch Mt Fuji. We travelled to the lakeside, then visited shrines, Japanese gardens, koi ponds, waterfalls and even hit up a 400 year old sweet sake hut to try the local beverages. Without her knowledge of the surrounding areas in Hakone, we would have never been able to find the locations. The minivan was clean, comfortable and we felt safe at all times driving up and down the mountain. Great tour! Thank you so much

5.00Kumi was super knowledgeable and optimized the trip to ensure we did not miss our Shinkansen to Kyoto the last day of golden week. Being able to store our luggage in the van and her willingness to drive us to Odawara Station was a huge plus.
