Charent's Arch
The monument "Arch of Charents" was created by architect Raphael Israelyan. One day on his way to Garni he stopped at this place and, noticing that a picturesque view opens from there to the Mount Ararat, he decided to build an arch as a "temple" to Ararat. The Arch was constructed in 1957, on occasion of the 60th anniversary of the great Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents. It is said, that the poet was also fond of walking around this place. It is like a picture frame, from where a mesmerizing view opens to the Ararat valley with Masis floating in distance. The following words completing Charents' famous poem are carved on the front aperture along the arch: "There is no summit as snow-white as that of lofty Ararat; Like an inaccessible path to glory, I love my Mount Masis!" You can make here stunning pictures against the backdrop of the Arch and Mountain Ararat, only the weather should be clear.
Garni Temple
Garni temple, which towers over a triangular cape, is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. King Trdat The First ordered building the temple in the first century AD and dedicated it to the God of Sun. After adopting Christianity in 301, the pagan temple lost its significance and the fortress of Garni became the summer residence of the kings. Nowadays the ruins of the royal palace and the bathroom with a stunning mosaic work can be found near the temple.

We had a lovely experience on this half-day trip that turned into a full day one upon our plea to add a visit to the Symphony of Garni stones. Our guide Marina was happy to accommodate and driver Araik was friendly and patient despite hectic traffic. Happy to recommend to anyone who values professionalism and flexibility

This was my first day joining a private tour with Hyur, and it was absolutely wonderful! My itinerary included Garni Temple, the Symphony of Stones, and Geghard Monastery. Our guide, Mike, was incredibly professional and friendly, and I’m so glad I got to experience this private tour. The driver was excellent too — highly recommended!

Wonderful tour with my lovely guide Michael and our driver Levon. This is my first time in Armenia and Michael introduced me to Armenian history, gave suggestions about other places to visit and even suggested local foods to try. Both places we visited - Garni temple and Geghard monastery are like out of this world, beautiful, and very important historical places for Armenia. Unfortunately we couldn't see mount Ararat from it's viewing point, but in Geghard monastery we were surprised by a local chorus performing a religious singing in one of the carved halls, such a magical experience. Big thanks to driver Levon for driving safely on mountain roads and to my guide Michael for telling the story of Armenia with so much pride and passion. This experience made me want to return to Armenia in some time in the future.

Garni and Geghart were both amazing but the trip was that much better because of our guide Melineh and driver Hovig. They were so kind and knowledgeable and we laughed the whole trip. Highly recommended!

My wife and I did the half day trip with Hyur Tours to the magnificent Garni Gorge during on our recent trip to Armenia. Our driver, Hovo, was very nice and picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned car. The pagan temple was magnificent and the Symphony of Stones was particularly breathtaking. The drive up to Geghard monastery was also magnificent. The whole trip was a lovely, relaxing way to enjoy some of Armenia’s most breathtaking sights. Highly recommended.
