What To Expect
1) After being picked up from your place in comfortable and private transportation, we'll begin our tour heading to the northwest of Medellín, towards our CABLECAR SYSTEM in Comuna 13, an emblem of progress and innovation of the city. This transportation played a significant role in positioning Medellín as the world's most innovative city, it is worth noting that Medellín has the only Metro system in Colombia, recognized as one of the most efficient and clean in all of Latin America! We will take a captivating round trip on the cable car, ascending the mountains and soaring above the vibrant "barrios". This unique perspective offers a completely different scenery, allowing us to absorb the diverse faces of the city. The views are simply breathtaking.

2) On our following point we'll get to experience one of the city's innovated "ELECTRIC ESCALATORS". One of the primary goals of these projects was to improve accessibility for residents living in the city's marginalized communities, they help connect these areas to the main public transportation network, making it easier for residents to access jobs, education, and healthcare facilities. We'll have a short and leisurely walk around the iconic ROAD-DUCT that interconnects all the neighborhoods on the superior side, which were in constant conflict with each other just a few years ago, and it has become a symbol of Comuna 13's remarkable metamorphosis, from a place controlled by violence and crime to a thriving and inspiring community.

5.00Such a great day with Daniel! We started at the market, getting to sample a wide variety of exotic fruits. Then we headed to Comuna 13 for a very interesting and informative tour. 5.00We had a terrific day with Juan Carlos. We considered visiting on our own but we would never have appreciated it as much. Juan Carlos offered so much information that helped us better understand and enjoy what we were seeing. He was very accommodating and helpful. Ask for him if you book a tour with Andes!

5.00Awesome excursion, with lots of history and commentary about the infamous city of Medillín. Daniel was our tour guide for the morning. We explored with great detail, Comuna 13. This tour had us hiking stairs, viewing the art by the famous local artists, watching the young Hip-Hoppers earn an honest living, learn the local history, etc. Definitely a great, quick and very informative way to learn the area. We were able to gauge different perspectives of the Barrios from the physical levels and stops at Comuna 13. From there we jumped on the Sky Rail system that launched us up the mountain. Awesome views of the area was the result.
