TIJUCA PEAK
Located in the Tijuca National Park is the second highest peak of the town with 1021 meters of altitude.
Arriving near the top we find a staircase of 117 steps, which was carved into the rock by the slaves because the coming of the King of Belgium to Brazil.

5.00Our hike with OIR - Aventura was everything we could ask for and more. Our guides Thiago & Bruno took us through the National Park to the top of Tijuca Peak and made the experience unforgettable. Not only did they offer a spectacular eco-tour of the area, they tied it to Rio's rich history-complete with beautiful views, peaks, and waterfalls. They are remarkable representatives of their city and their passion made this experience unforgettable. As a result, we booked another tour with them the very next day. They will be the first we call when we visit again and the only guide service we recommend to our friends.

5.00The cuide, Bruno, was great. Friendly, knowledgable, and happy to help. The hike took us through the forest to the peak of the highest mountain in Rio. The hike was fun, the air was fresh, and the view was spectacular. Also visited two lovely waterfalls and went under one of them - an invigorating, almost spiritual, experience. Tour is highly recommended for nature lovers.

5.00Thiago was an incredible tour guide and i would highly recommend him. My buddy and i did 2 full 8 hour tours with him. We saw some of the most amazing sights in the world. Thiago is very knowledgable about the city but also very accomadating to what you want to see and do on the trip. 5 stars!!!

5.00Rodrigo was a friendly guide, spoke good English and just the right amount of commentary during the hyke. Unfortunately the Vista Chinesa was closed but after a good 2.5k uphill trek through the beautiful Tijuca National Park.. the final 'ascent' and breathtaking views from the peak, more than made up for that!

5.00I did two tours with Thiago - one hike up through the rainforest to Christ the Redeemer, the second tour through the Dois Irmãos with a motorcycle ride and hike down through the Favela Vidigal. Both were amazing - challenging hikes with fabulous company! Thiago is super knowledgeable about his city, Rio - the beaches, neighborhoods, and history. I learned so much, the time spent with Thiago was super fun, and I felt like I really got an inside view into some very special areas of Rio. I would highly recommend booking any kind of adventure tour with Thiago, and if I am ever lucky enough to make it back to Rio again, I will certainly book another tour with these guys! Fabulous time!!

5.00If you want to enjoy the Rio off road with spectacular landscapes and outside of the typical tourist excursion this is definitely the place! They adapt to your plans, offering the best views and experiences at all times. It is worth it because you will enjoy a lot of privacy. Thiago has incredible energy and, in addition to wisdom, he is very attentive and pleasant with the little ones. It was so wonderful that we want to repeat it in other places in Rio, on the outskirts
