Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon
Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, built in the late 1880s by French colonists, is one of the few remaining strongholds of Catholicism in the largely Buddhist Vietnam. Located in Paris Square, the name Notre Dame was given after the installation of the statue ‘Peaceful Notre Dame’ in 1959. In 1962, the Vatican conferred the Cathedral status as a basilica and gave it the official name of Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. Measuring almost 60 metres in height, the cathedral’s distinctive neo-Romanesque features include the all-red brick façade (which were imported from Marseille), stained glass windows, two bell towers containing six bronze bells that still ring to this day, and a peaceful garden setting in the middle of downtown Ho Chi Minh City District 1.
Saigon Central Post Office
The Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh is a beautifully preserved remnant of French colonial times and perhaps the grandest post office in all of Southeast Asia. Located next door to Notre Dame Cathedral, the two cultural sites can be visited together and offers visitors a chance to imagine life in Vietnam during the times of the Indochinese Empire. The building was designed by Alfred Foulhoux and features arched windows and wooden shutters, just as it would have in its heyday in the late 19th Century.

Great tour guide and driver for a busy, hectic tour of Ho Chi Minh. Great experience with both people. Very warm, friendly, knowledgeable guide.

Our tour guide was Bao. He communicated with us through WhatsApp before the tour so that we would know exactly where and when to meet him. Bao is very pleasant and knowledgeable. My husband has mobility issues and uses a rollator. Bao was extremely helpful with my husband’s needs. By going on a private tour we were able to alter the tour to fit our needs. Twice we ran into my brother who went on a ship’s tour. I suspect we paid less than the ship’s tour and received a much nicer tour. Even if this cost more than the ship’s tour, it would still be worth it for the personalized service. It is nice to be able to make your own schedule. The vehicle was very nice. There was a separate driver who would drop us very close to where we needed to go and then pick us back up when Bao contacted him saying we were ready to move along. I highly recommend Bao and this tour!

Anna was an excellent tour guide and Quoc was our wonderful driver. It was very convenient that we never had to wait long for our driver to pick us up from every stop we made. The post office was beautiful, as was Independence Palace. The War Museum was very sad but well displayed. So many photos of the war that we never saw before. They call it the American War. Such a waste of human lives. We also stopped by a lacquer art store. Very interesting and we couldn't resist buying!!

Our trip to HCMC was excellent. The car was very comfortable, included charging stations, and water bottles. Our tour guide bruno was very funny, personable, and shared lots of interesting and informative details throughout the tour. Food at the end was delicious and they made accommodations for allergies. Highly recommend this tour

I had the most magical visit to Ho Chi Minh City because my tour guide, EMMIE, was so professional and knowledgeable about the history and places to go and see. She was extremely flexible in planning out the locations and even gave me shopping tips. I highly recommend the tour company, but mostly EMMIE. She will make your tour the best ever!!

As we were planning our shore excursions for our cruise with multiple Vietnam ports, we quickly realized this company had the most unique tour offerings at the best value price, so we booked all our different stops with them. For each tour, they responded quickly through TripAdvisor messaging to answer our questions, customize portions of the tour, and even offered a few surprise bonuses. This tour was our first booking and unfortunately, the port cancelled our ship berth at the last minute (about 20 hours in advance) so I immediately messaged then and they instantly responded to day they would give us a Full Refund (which we received within 24 hours). They also offered to help us with arrangements at our alternative port. Overall they have been one of the best vendors we have worked with and appreciate their communication and customer service. A+ highly recommended.

Picked up right at cruise dock with personal name card! Be prepared for long drive to Ho Chi Minh City lots of traffic but very interesting cultural experience. Driver was experienced and very safe. Traffic is very interesting. Our guide Emmie was the best. Very professional and educated we learned so much history from her. She was patient and geared the tour toward our specifications. The lunch of pho was delicious, the flower market tour simply beautiful. The imperial palace tour with all its decadence and underground bunkers was awesome. We enjoyed every minute hated it to end. I got fabulous souvenirs at the BinThran market. Emmie negotiated everything for us. Can’t say enough about this tour worth every penny.
