What To Expect
After you will be picked up from Sofia you will be driven to the starting point for your tour. Teteven area is really picturesque and the itinerary shows you the best of it. All this with a private guide and at your own pace and timing. Flexible starting times from Sofia. We reserve the right to use any of the destinations we operate in according to the horse riding level of the customers. We can change destinations to suit the horse riding needs and levels of the customers with the goal to be enjoyable and nice for everybody.

5.00This is a definite MUST if you want to experience the beauty of Vitosha mountain as well as experience horse riding in the wild. They took exception care of me during the entire ride. The horses are so good. Happy and fit! They know their job and look after you. I was lucky enough to experience the ride in snow all the way up and back down the mountain. A dream come true for me. If I ever get the opportunity to visit Bulgaria again this would be my first stop to ride and say hi to Vento - the horse I got to ride. This experience was a real childhood dream come true for me.

5.00DO THIS! Everyone is so nice and helpful, they even let me pick my horse. They went at a pace I was comfortable with, and as the day went on I got comfortable enough to canter! The horses are loved and cared for, very sure footed and stable. I wish I had more time to go back and ride again!

5.00Great tour operator who arrange everything for my needs because of my delayed air flight. Nice horseback riding assistant who ride behind me to look after me. Perfect environment and view of the riding. The best horseback riding guide who is a real expert and qualified with competition award. Really great teaching, I learned galloping in one day, which I don't have any experience on riding. She is passionate, friendly and with hospitality. 200% recommend this experience.

5.00This was a very nice trip. Our driver was pleasant and very informative. He provided lots of historical and cultural narratives. The riding experience provided an opportunity to get very close within the local community and travel along the beautiful country trail up the mountain and to the St. George Monastery.
Weather didn’t stop a fantastic experience. Amazing!

5.00First this was the original tour I booked but then due to the Popes visit and rain storms moving in Histro found me a riding tour in Samokov opposite direction with Rila Ranch in the gorgeous Rila range. He organized for a guide to get me at hotel take me on metro to ride down (About an hour from Sofia) on a bus with the local folks past the Lakes seeing more countryside views. Did I mention Bulgaria landscape is never ending beautiful. Then the fellow at the Ranch picked me up at bus stop took me ranch we waited a bit till rain cleared to spectacular blue skies highlighting the mountains, cow and sheep herder pastures we rode through. We saw horses with a baby too. He verified my riding ability and matched it with a horse perfectly making the ride safe and wonderful. The ladies I rode with were great the ranch is true, rustic working farm with horses, dogs and incredibly hospitable folks. I not only had the sweetest horse but was taken care of by a team of dedicated folks making it one of the most memorable vacation days I ever had. The rancher took me to the bus put me on the right one and my first guide was at bus to take me to metro and walk me back to my hotel. Histro goes above and beyond and is a skilled traveler organizer. When I go back to the Balkan I will definitely contact and refer his company to my friends and family. Hats off to Rila Ranch - I was even fed an amazing Bulgarian dinner before I left. Absolutely incredible!! I am sure the original tour would have been just as great.
