We will explore the andes foothills among native flora with amazing views of the city and other nice peaks of the Andes Range.
The trip is private and flexible. We acomódate the trip to your skills and knowledge
We work with local arrieros (local cowboys)
We plant native trees through Reforestemos Patagonia ONG in order to compensate any co2 emisions.

What To Expect
Santiago
This trip starts at a private farm located in a nice native forest at the foothills of the Andes. These Chilean horses will be prepared for you with Chilean saddles, they are easy-going and used to walking on these trails. We will ride for around 1,5 hours gaining breathtaking views. We will make a nice snack in our break before the descent. You will enjoy the amazing scenery and you will be surrounded by very beautiful mountains (in winter covered by snow) also you will have the opportunity to share with the arrieros (the Chilean cowboy) and live the Arriero culture. Highlights: 20 minutes from Santiago / great Andean views / reach 2000 meters altitude Horseback riding time 1.5 hours of ascent and 1.5-hour descent plus 30 to 45 minutes of break at the lookout.

5.00We had a wonderful morning riding horses just outside of Santiago. The weather was not great so we couldn’t see the Andean mountain vistas but it was fun to explore nature. The horses were friendly and our guide, Therese, who owned the stables was great to talk to. A native of the US, she’s been in chile for decades and shared lots of information about the area. Later we had some wine and cheese in the barn. We also enjoyed meeting the stable cats (Nacho, specifically) and our guide dog, Max.

5.00This was an exceptional experience! Thank you to Matias, Frank and Colorado. Booking, communication, service all exceptional. Punctual and friendly pick up by Frank, short drive from the centre of Santiago. The ranch is rustic, the horses are all happy and well cared for. Suitable for any experience of rider. Due to terrain, it’s walking and a little trot. We spotted Condor and were accompanied by the ranches collie Max. Views were stunning. A well worth trip and one I would do again.

5.00One of the most amazing experiences of my life! The breathtaking landscapes and the gentleness of the horses made me feel connected with the nature like never before..! My husband and I felt safe and joyful in the very pleasant company of our guide, Gustavo, who seems to be born for this job. The whole trip, including the hotel pick-up and drop-off, the arrival at the ranch, the climb, the break at the top, the descend and the lunch (farm made cheese, delicious!) took about 6 hours, with 3h and a half of horse riding. All the animals at the farm were very affective (horses, dog, cats). When you ride on the trail, you need to be a bit careful with some branches, but the trail is generally clean and the horses know it very well. At the top I recommend having a small snack - horse riding costs you energy, even if you only sit on the horse:).

5.00I was considering doing the full day because I thought it would be a better experience. I was wrong. This was the ideal booking. Plenty of time in the saddle, great views, great guide.
