If you want to enjoy a private and more intimate experience this is your best choice. This tour is made for those who would like to go along with a guide and have a more personalized adventure in these beautiful caves.

Our journey will start at the magnificent Carvalho beach. A small beach totally surrounded and protected by its limestone cliffs where the access is through a tunnel.

From there we will show you the most breathtaking caves, “algars” and natural formations always with one of our guides taking the lead, making sure that everybody is safe and having the most fun. The duration of our expedition is aprox. 2 hours and 30 minutes, where we gonna have time to rest/photos at the most famous cave of Portugal, the “Algar” of Benagil.

Additionally, we will get away from the typical confusion of the high season by doing a route that is way calmer and most of the people don’t know about.

What To Expect

Departure from the spellbinding Carvalho beach into the ocean with your guide always by your side, 2 peoplr per Kayak. After departure, we slide across the coastline paddling Benagil direction, visiting the caves and secret beaches along this unique and radical route we prepared for you. Approximately 1 hour into the tour we reach and stop inside the Famous cave “Algar de Benagil” Stay inside of the cave for around 5min for some photos, connections, and revitalizing our energies! Return paddling from the cave of Benagil back to Carvalho beach where we started, visiting some more enclosures, caves and beaches

Our sunrise kayak tour with Egas was amazing. You start on the most beautiful beach and kayak along the caveline, learning about the geology and history. Egas was so knowledgeable and patient with us when my husband was feeling sea sick. It was such a great experience!

My spouse and I did the private sunrise kayak tour with Egas. Phenomenal tour guide with pep in his step and lots of knowledge to share. We learned all about the formation of caves and saw some sea life. Going inside the caves was a really cool experience and the early morning sunrise was not only stunning but made for quite a secluded, peaceful tour. Would recommend.

Beautiful and relaxing day on the water with Francisco. Seeing the caves and cliffs up close was awesome! Great kayaks, good safety protocols. This is a must do Algarve experience!

We did the private kayak tour with our guide Davide. It was incredible, and Davide was fun and engaging! He was very knowledgeable and happy, and showed us the caves and historical points along the coast. We did the sunrise tour, and it truly was a magical experience. This has been the highlight of our trip. Davide did a great job of capturing the moments with pictures for us. It was just 3 of us plus Davide, and the small intimate experience was amazing. 100/10, highly recommend! Avoid the crowded touristy groups and go with BrotheRootz, you won’t be disappointed!

This was the highlight of our trip to the Algarve. Everyone from parents to teens loved this trip. Our guide Francisco was the best, taking us to so many caves during our tour, giving us some history and taking lots of amazing pictures. This is a 10 out of 10 experience.

Brilliant tour of the coast and caves. Well organized and Bruno our guide was very knowledgeable. Our original tour had to be rearranged due to bad weather but this was quickly sorted by Rodriguez the tour manager to a couple of days later. The guys are relaxed but you feel very safe in their hands. Thank you so much

Took a two hour private tour booked via our hotel. Our guide was Egas, one of the owners. For starters this is not some young guide who does not care, he’s one of the owners, and literally a trained dentist. Portuguese, speaks very good English, is very very nice, friendly, pays lots of attention to safety and being careful while you do not feel hovered over. Adapts to the pace of the family he’s with. We had a six year old, and two very young tweens. Felt safe the whole time. He is taking pictures with the go pro the whole time and telling you history and geology while still guiding you and making sure everything is on track and in the right places, and was just an amazing experience. I would advise visiting their site brotherootz.com so you can see them online to get a feel.
