I personally feel ashamed that I took part in the tour. The pictures advertising this trip looks amazing, there’s healthy and happy pigs with a clean tidy beach. Unfortunately the reality isn’t the same as the pictures. We were one of the first boats to visit the island, there’s a small beach bar offering drinks, light snacks and weed as well as dog and pig food (all has to be paid for). When we saw the pigs there was a lot of them, we bought some food and they were all really hungry. They couldn’t have eaten the food fast enough. Unfortunately loads of tourists were just taking pictures and not feeding the pigs. We bought six bags of food as we couldn’t bare seeing how hungry they were. If you want to visit this dreadful place, please use the bowls provided and don’t sprinkle onto the sand. We also bought bottles of water and gave to the pigs as well, they were so thirsty. From what we could they had no access to clean water. I’m not surprised how thirsty they were, when they’re eating sand and being fed SEA WATER from tourists, day in, day out. The pigs didn’t look well cared for at all! They looked dirty, had scabs on their backs and some had growths underneath their bodies. There’s an information board telling you the story on how the pigs came to live on the island. The story starts genuine and seems like the owner wanted to give the pigs a better life. Now it’s become a big money making scheme, charging entry to the island and putting the animals welfare as a last resort. Overall, I would NOT recommend this island at all. They need to make some serious changes to make the animals welfare a priority. If you do decide to visit please, please, please feed and water the pigs. The water is only 20 Thai baht a bottle and the food is 50 Thai baht a bag. **On a positive note, the captain and your woman who took us to the island were lovely. They kept us hydrated and spoke good English**

Such a family-friendly tour! Our boys couldn’t stop laughing at the pigs swimming around and lying in the sand. The boat ride was calm and the snorkeling spot near Koh Tan was safe and beautiful. Loved every moment.

We were celebrating our honeymoon and this tour was the highlight The pigs were so cute and friendly, and the snorkeling was peaceful and colourful. The longtail boat added a rustic charm to the whole day. Highly recommend for couples.

Didn’t expect to fall in love with swimming pigs, but here we are 😍 Koh Madsum is insanely gorgeous and the pigs are friendly and photogenic. Snorkeling at Koh Tan was clear and relaxing. The longtail boat made it all feel extra special.

Absolutely loved this tour! The longtail boat was charming, and the islands were stunning. Swimming pigs on Koh Madsum were such a surprise 🐷 I took so many cute photos. Snorkeling near Koh Tan was beautiful too — clear water and vibrant coral. Would go again in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful day out on the boat, our driver was awesome and very helpful. The snorkelling wasn’t the greatest as the water was quite murky however we did see loads of fish and had the best swim. I would definitely recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our morning tour! This took exactly 4 hour with an hour for pig island, 1.5 hours of boat time and snorkeling and 45 minutes for lunch. When you hear “lunch included” you think it’s going to be a sandwich and chips but we were surprised with a delicious authentic Thai meal that included fried chicken, vegetable fried rice, sautéed vegetables, soup and fruit! The boat captain packed plenty of water and offered to take pictures. The only confusion we had was the initial meeting point. The listing has an address near the pier, but the meeting point is actually at the pier and you have to locate your tour company among a few but we figured it out within a few minutes.

The whole experience was very good but it was very confusing to begin with at the meeting point as the person who gave us instructions regarding the day was bot helpful at all.

Fantastic day on the private long tail boat. We arranged for a driver to pick us up from our hotel and the driver showed up promptly at 9 am. Great start. Drove about 30 minutes to Thong Grut Pier on the South end of Koh Samui. We were greeted by the owner of the tour, signed in and showed us the boat. Our captain’s name was “Pup Pop” on the orange colored boat #8. He was extremely polite, friendly and professional. Took us on a nice relaxing boat ride to Koh Madsum to visit the pigs on that island. We chilled there for about 2 hrs. Then headed back on the boat towards Koh Taen for some snorkeling. Tons of fish came by the boat as we jumped in. Corals were nice but didn’t see too many other fish far from the boats. Then we cruised around the island and headed for lunch on a private Bay Area on Koh Taen. Food was solid Thai food (fried rice, Tom Yum chicken soup, stir fried vegetables and fried chicken cutlets). The facilities were pretty bare minimum. Followed with a nice ride back to our pier. The driver was there waiting for us at the pier ready to drive us back to our hotel without any delays. It was a perfect 4-5 hour excursion we were looking for. The price was very reasonable. We highly recommend this if you have 1/2 day mid morning to spend in Koh Samui!
