Baguio
We will leave the town of Anao to continue north for 2 hours and a 100km ride in our private minibus to reach the town of Baguio located in the Cordillera region, in the province of Benguet, in the north of the island of Luzon. Americans founded the city in 1909 as the summer capital of the Philippines. Vegetables and fruits such as strawberries are now grown there.

We will continue route for more than 4 hours to travel the 140 km of mountain race from Baguio until we reach the town of Sagada, once there we will leave our things in the hotel and leave to visit the caves and sarcophagi hanging on the walls of the mountain.

Accompanied by a local guide we will visit the centuries-old sarcophagi hanging on the walls of the mountains.
Sumaguing Cave
Once the entry permit has been processed at the tourist office, walking through the mountain and just before reaching the cave are the spectacular rice paddies of Kapay-aw, where we will stop to rest and take photos, we will walk the route until we reach the Sumaguing cave to see the centuries-old sarcophagi.
Lumiang Cave
Accompanied by a local guide and after a pleasant walk through the mountain, we will arrive at the cave where you can see a huge wall full of wooden coffins (more than 100 are counted), some of them more than 500 years old. The coffins are usually single trunked and placed at the entrance of the cave so that they can receive light and thus avoid that evil spirits can disturb their eternal rest.

Pongas Falls
We will visit this set of two waterfalls south of Sagada, which is reached in less than 1 hour walking from the village of Ankileng village. On the way you can see some nice rice paddies.

Following the mountain route with our private minibus, in 21⁄2 hours and after traveling 64 km, we will arrive the village of Banaue and you can enjoy the views from the village and the rice fields.
