What To Expect

Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a group of eight clear spring ponds located in the village of Oshino, between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako in the Fuji Five Lakes area. These ponds were formed on the site of a former lake that dried up centuries ago. They are fed by melted snow from Mount Fuji, which takes over 80 years to filter through volcanic lava layers. The result is pure, clear spring water, highly valued by local residents.

Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine

Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, also known as Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō), is a five-story pagoda located on a mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City with Mount Fuji in the background. It is part of the larger Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built in 1963 as a peace memorial. The pagoda stands about 400 steps above the main shrine buildings, offering a famous panoramic view.

We had a Mt.Fuji today. And Our tour was absolutely great. Our driver Ken came early in the morning and we began the tour on time. He was very flexible, friendly and knowledgeable all itineraries places. I recommend Ken and his company.

Wonderful day at Mount Fuji with our private driver John who was adorable and gave us lots of information about his beautiful country! His driving was perfect and we were able to adapt our course according to the weather which was quite good despite the many clouds hanging on Mount Fuji! We highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed from the picturesque views of the Mount Fuji and the nature around. Geoffrey our driver know this places very well and gave us good suggestion for lunch. Only thing that we waited at ropeway for little bit. But the rest was smoothly and comfortable

We spent a lovely day in the Mt Fuji area . Even though we couldn’t see Mt Fuji (visibility was not good due to atmospheric conditions), we still thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful part of Japan. Our guide/driver, Ken, was very helpful, amenable and delightful to be with. He made sure we got to see so many lovely places and we had great conversation. His English is very good. He was happy to answer all our questions, made sure we were comfortable and accommodated all our requests. We learnt about the history and culture of Japan and saw such lovely parks, lakes, mountains and gardens.

We really enjoyed Mt Fuji yesterday and it exceeded our expectations! We got some great pictures and souvenirs along the way. We also stopped at some world heritage sites and learned some of the history and local happenings. Overall, it was a great day and our driver Rudy was friendly and informative and got us to and from each stop with ease. I highly recommend this excursion to and future travelers to Japan!!

Our tour guide, Rudy, made our day an excellent adventure. We went to the Chureita Pagoda on our way to Mt. Fuji. Rudy was very knowledgeable about all the sites and just a fun guy to be with. You will really enjoy your day if you take this tour.
