• Lots of penguins!

  We toured the island with Roxy the owner of the company. She was lovely, laid back and an excellent driver. She took us an hour and a half out of Stanley in her 4x4 we went right onto the beach. We were very close to the penguins. It was fabulous. She had a home made lunch for us too! We went to 2 different beaches to see penguins and finished up with a driving tour of the town.

  This tour provided a chance to see some of the island, learn about life there, and, of course, see penguins! Roxy had been very helpful in planning this tour and patiently answered all my questions. Our 8-year old grandson was with us, so she had a Falklands activity book and colored pencils to provide entertainment for him on the drive to Bertha's Beach. We had as much time at Bertha's Beach and Gypsy Cove as we wanted. Shawn (hope I spelled her name correctly) was an accomplished driver and gave us much information about the island and life there. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience! We would certainly recommend this tour.

  Very windy, wear appropriate clothing. Very interesting, lots of Penguins. Fairly long walk to see Penguins.

  We had a great time during this excursion. We were lucky to have good weather and managed to see three different types of penguins and in abundance. The owner of the tour operator Roxy was there to meet us at the port personally and Mike our driver was very informative and a very down to earth person. He added an extra stop to visit the memorial of the British ships that were lost during the war with Argentina. Thus the trip was longer than the time specified in the itinerary. The vegetarian lunch including home made cakes, along with hot and cold beverages was great. The excursion may seem pricey but I would thoroughly recommend it as it is good value for money.

  We saw many penguins up close. Roxy was a super guide from liupid tours. The best guide of our many excursions, very knowledgeable, friendly and supplied a great lunch. She stopped at a shop to save us having to walk for we had a family member walking with a Cain.
