Very interesting tour with lots of background information. Great conclusion in the small but fine shop of Jan, our guide with wine and olive oil tasting and other local specialties.

Absolutely recommended city tour! Especially at the beginning of the stay you gain a great insight into the history of the city and the surrounding area and have the opportunity to get orientation. Jan conveys exciting facts about Piran with a lot of humor and solid knowledge. He responds to every question, even outside the city tour, and is available with valuable tips on all sorts of things. The subsequent tasting will form an entertaining beautiful conclusion. Entertainment, exercise (not too much:)) and tasting in one, top!

When visiting Piran you could walk around the whole afternoon, looking for the nicest places, in the heat and finally ending up at a snackbar… Or you can sit the afternoon on the beach and join this tour at seven. Jan is a very enthousiast and entertaining guide. He takes all the time needed, with only a small group. The wines are nice and he has great tips for a nice dinner. Highly recommended

Since no one else had registered except us, we got a private tour of Piran from Jan. Along the way, we learned a lot of historical and current (business tips). Jan was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience! Two hours to see the town, city history highlights, cultural facts, and a walk through of top restaurants. The end was a great salami, olive oil, and wine tasting that was truly fantastic. Great experience and recommend to all!!

If you find yourself near Slovenia, Croatia or Venice, consider a day trip to Piran. We arrived by boat and it was such a quaint little town. Our guide (and unfortunately I cannot remember her name) was wonderful. She lives in Piran and her local knowledge was intermingled with the history of the area. Loved walking to the top and seeing the view from the church. Definitely a must do. Pasta with Truffles at a local restaurant was an added plus!

The guide, Jan, was personable and spoke English very well. The walk is something that you could do alone but he gave lots of interesting information about the history of the area. The tour ended in a tiny cantina where we tasted olive oils of all descriptions, unusual chocolate flavors, local wines and donkey salami. The shop owner also gave lots of information about his products. The whole experience was worth the €14.
