Visit the most popular puffin cliff in Iceland where you can safely watch over 10,000 pairs of puffins from a close distance. About 10,000 pairs of puffins nest every summer in Borgarfjörður. This is probably the easiest and safest place to watch puffins in Iceland. There are a shelter and wooden platforms where you can get really close to the puffins without the risk of falling into a burrow or down a cliff. You can see puffins nestling here from mid-April to mid-August.

Had a wonderful experience visiting the puffins. Our guide was very knowledgeable and told us all sorts of local stories and history of the area. The puffins were fantastic. The location is not commercialized and there not very many people there. You can get extremely close to them and have a wonderful view. Highly recommend this for a personal view of these super cute birds
