We love everything about this trip, guide, driver, car and all logistics. Melinda is our tour guide and she has provided exemplary services. She has provided us with great suggestion on itinerary that we can maximise the one day trip to explore both Shanghai and Zhujiajiao. She went extra miles to take good care of us and made sure we are in good hands and have plenties of family photos home. She recommended us to eat really authentic meals and they are all great suggestions. We love to go back and have her as our tour guide again in the future. The driver, I forgot to ask his name, is also very polite and kind to offer to take care of my son when he was lazy to walk and wanted to be in the car waiting for us.

We absolutely loved our day with Ruby, an outstanding guide!! Ruby and our driver, Mr. Lee, we’re waiting for us promptly at 9 AM at our hotel, and they made everything very easy. Our air conditioned van was very comfortable with water provided. Ruby’s English was excellent, and she was so friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to talk with. She gave us great cultural and historical information all day long, and answered all of our curious questions. We started by visiting Zhujiajiao Water Town, which was about an hour or so from Shanghai. I would not miss this charming and quaint ancient town - we’re so glad we made it a priority. Ruby walked us through the governors house and garden, telling us interesting history along the way, and then we took our time wandering the narrow streets and crossing small bridges over the canals. Ruby helped us ask prices and shop along the way also. We finished with a lovely gondola ride for about 10 minutes through the town. We opted to have lunch back in Shanghai, so we drove back, and Ruby took us to A fabulous restaurant that’s been around for over 100 years, famous for soup dumplings. She helped us pick selections to order, and everything was wonderful. We then visited the Yu Garden, which was another enjoyable stop. Ruby took pictures of us periodically throughout the day, and they were emailed to us after our trip. Entrance to the Yu Garden and the gondola ride were included in our trip, while lunch was not. We did a bit of shopping after that, and Ruby helped us look for and buy a mah-jongg set! We then spent some time walking around the former French concession, where Ruby again gave us some great tidbits about the history. Lastly, we drove along the Bund hearing about its notable history, before we were dropped off at our hotel around 5 PM. We really appreciated being able to customize our stops and the length of each on this tour. Everything about our day was relaxing yet full, informational and fun. I would not hesitate to book with Sunny Tours again. The communication over email was great before hand as well.
