Gljufrabui Waterfalls
Hidden within a mystical canyon on Iceland's South Coast, Gljúfrabúi Waterfall is a captivating gem that beckons adventurers seeking a unique and enchanting experience. Often overshadowed by its more famous neighbor, Seljalandsfoss. Tucked away in a narrow gorge, Gljúfrabúi is partially concealed by towering cliffs, creating an ethereal atmosphere for those who venture into its secret realm. To reach the waterfall, visitors can follow a winding path through the rocky landscape or, for a more immersive experience, wade through the river that flows from the falls. Once inside the hidden chamber, you'll be greeted by the sight and sound of Gljúfrabúi's elegant cascade, plunging from a moss-covered ledge above. The play of light, mist, and the surrounding greenery adds a magical touch to the scene. The name Gljúfrabúi translates to 'Canyon Dweller,' a fitting title for a waterfall that seemingly resides within the heart of the canyon.

Amazing experience, our tour guide Bjarni is excellent. He told many stories about Iceland, traditions and culture and since he was born and raised in Iceland he knows a lot about the culture and history. The sites we visited were absolutely beautiful,we had plenty of time to explore it and enjoy the views, had time to try black crust pizza in Vik.The car is super comfortable, and despite the long drive and the whole day of sightseeing,we really enjoyed the tour.I would highly recommend this tour, particularly with Bjarni as your tour guide,if you want to escape big tour groups and you don’t want to feel rushed, but would like to enjoy the beauty of Iceland, that is the best tour to take.

This tour shows you such a beautiful part of Iceland! From waterfalls to glaciers to a black sand beach to the sheep and horses and countryside and all of the sites along the way. It is worth every penny and be sure to ask for.Bjarni to be your guide. He is very personal and is excellent at what he does! He was so helpful with my husband's walker and such a kind man. We very much appreciated that he taught us so much about Iceland and was willing to answer all of our questions, and we had a lot! You can tell that he enjoys being a tour guide. He also shared many stories that are told in this country (which we thoroughly enjoyed!) and he has a great sense of humor as well. We could not have asked for a better guide! We highly recommend this tour (fantastic!) and highly recommend Bjarni! Thank you Bjarni for a perfect day!

Our group of ten took this tour in May during our cruise stop. Booking was very easy. As a person with many questions, Bjami answered each and every one of them with a prompt reply. Meeting at the cruise port was very easy as he is parked beside the tour bus parking lot. All of us thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this tour. Not only did we see THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SIGHTS, we were lucky enough to have Bjami as our driver and guide. We learned many things about Reykjavik and Iceland from a local perspective. He was open and honest with his answers. The tour was a full day with beautiful memories. Don't hesitate, book this tour.

Bjarni was incredible! If you are thinking of booking this tour, trust me just do it! The drive highlights such beautiful and wonderful stops throughout the South Coast and Bjarni customizes the experience beautifully. He is there the whole time sharing historic facts and Icelandic legends, and walking the sites with you to answer any questions. He is incredibly knowledgeable and we learned so much! We could rave all day about Bjarni and this experience, we will definitely be booking him again next time we are in Iceland!

We traveled to Iceland in December and did the south coast tour. Our tour guide was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the locations we visited and shared stories about Iceland and his family traditions. He gave us options to stop and use the bathroom or decide when we were ready to stop for lunch. He was also a great photographer! I would definitely recommend the tour. I think the price was well worth the one to one attention and not traveling via large bus on small roads in the snow.

Bjarni was very knowledgeable and professional. He was very flexible and patient. We were traveling with a five year old and he was very accommodating and patient. He let us go at our own pace. On the drives in between the sights He told us many interesting stories about Iceland’s history and culture. 10 out of 10! Highly reccomended.

We had a great time with Bjarni on our South Coast tour. His knowledge of the area, as well as his fantastic stories, made this tour extremely memorable. Bjarni also kept us in front of the tour groups the whole day, which allowed us to see many of these sites uncrowded. As for the sites we saw on the tour, very diverse, from waterfalls to glaciers to black sand beaches.
