Trou aux Cerfs

Trou aux Cerfs is a dormant volcanic crater situated in the town of Curepipe, offering visitors a unique glimpse into Mauritius’ volcanic origins. The crater is nearly perfectly circular, measuring around 300 to 350 meters in diameter and about 80 to 100 meters deep. Instead of barren rock, its interior is filled with dense green vegetation, creating the impression of a miniature forest nestled within the crater.
