5.00The team at Kirra Point Surf School were fantastic! James made a huge effort to accommodate our son to feel comfortable doing his first surf lessons. His instructor Cody provided lots of practical tips to help him keep improving. Kirra is a great spot for lessons as well as it's less crowded than spots like The Alley and Rainbow but still has great waves. We'll definitely continue our sons' lessons here and would recommend to others!

5.00We were staying in Kirra Beach for a week over easter school holidays and I decided to get both my boys - 8 and 5 years old into group lessons every day. It was so worth it! My 8 year old (who has had some surfing lessons before and gets put on a wave by his dad sometimes but neither of us surf) went from saying surfing is like 6.5 / 10 (i.e. ok but not great!) to 10/10! He now can't stop talking about surfing and wants to surf all day (and all night if he could). Its overtaken about 3 other sports to be the top of his list. My 5 year old (who has never surfed before) was popping from day 1 and by the end of the week he was popping on every wave. Special shout out to James (the owner) for his great communiation and flexibility to accommodate us (especially over Easter long weekend), and to the instructors - in particular Luis (he was a FANTASTIC teacher and mentor and took my 8 year old on a surfing journey all week and is no doubt why he loves surfing as much as he does), Marco (gave great tips), and Enico (?) who my 5 year old loved to bits - said "he was super nice" and made surfing SO fun for him (interestingly my 5 year old never got through a 90 minute lesson without retiring after 1 hour EXCEPT for the day that Enico was his coach when he lasted the full 90 minutes and could have kept going). Next time we are up this way, will definitely get back in touch with this super surf crew!

5.00Fabulous time! As a "late starter" to surfing, I found Luke - the instructor/coach, to be insightful, encouraging and really positive. i could have stayed all day if I had been fitter!
Kids surfing lessons were awesome!

5.00Moss and Louie were great instructors this term - they made it fun, encouraged them to push and paddle, shared great tips that were age appropriate and helped them gain confidence with surfing! My kids (5,8,9) have been doing their third summer with James and the team and we’ve always loved the energy the instructors bring to surfing. Thanks to James and the team for all they do!

The instructors are not only incredibly skilled, but also super motivating, patient, and full of good energy. They make you feel confident, safe, and excited to push yourself – I’ve learned so much thanks to them. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn or just have fun in the waves! 5.00My Son Zak and I decided to learn how to surf. James hooked us up with Arthur who is an incredible coach and my 10y/o son was up and surfing in the first lesson. Two more lessons down and he was popping up and riding almost every wave he could, Arthur was extremely patient and a bloody good guy! I would absolutely 1000% recommend this well sorted operation if you are keen to learn or improve Excellent !!

5.00My kids never tried surfing and I was worried that booking the surfing lesson was just a waste of money, but I was so wrong because they absolutely loved it and asked me to do it again and again. It was a fantastic learning experience for them, especially thanks to the great instructor who was fantastic with children and knew how to make the lesson safe and enjoyable at the same time.

5.00My private lesson with James was the best way to start my learning of surfing. James started with the basics and after catching a couple of waves I was standing up in no time and we headed a bit further out to catch more waves with easy under James’s guidance. I can’t talk highly enough of James and would recommend him to all, with his experience and knowledge of surfing and being able to pas that onto a beginner surfer and being able to understand it all.
