Arahurahu Marae
Marae Arahurahu is one of Tahiti's most well-preserved and significant ancient temples. This open-air sacred site offers a glimpse into Polynesian spirituality and traditions. In ancient times, the marae served as a place for religious ceremonies, rituals, and communication with the gods. Set amidst lush tropical surroundings, Marae Arahurahu features intricately carved Tikis, stone platforms, and a serene atmosphere that reflects its cultural and spiritual importance. Visiting this site allows you to step back in time and connect with the deep roots of Polynesian history and heritage.
Maraa Grotto
**Maraa Grottos: A Refreshing Natural Escape** The Maraa Grottos provide a cool and tranquil retreat, featuring volcanic caves with crystal-clear water inside. We were picked up on time from our hotel by Eric. He drove us all around the island to many points of interest and added his own detailed knowledge about them and many other topics as well. An excellent trip with a great guide.

Our tour was filled with wonderful insight and knowledge of Tahiti. A full 5 hours of joy and sights of the east and west of the island. The waterfalls are stunning. Our guide was a delight with excellent knowledge of the history of the island. We were fed as well with delicious bananas, pomelo and crepes.

I did the half day tour today, but unfortunately, although the Guide gave us his name, I cannot remember what it was. He was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the history of Tahiti and it's flora - with lots of interesting facts not found in the guidebooks. He also supplied excellent snacks in bananas, pomelo and banana crepes. I would not hesitate in recommending this tour in the strongest way.

We booked a private tour but ended up with a “substitute” guide who is French and does not understand English well and we have had little communications for the whole trip. We still loved the itinerary, the scenery and the culture exhibitions around the island. But with tour guide situation we cannot give high remarks. Also, the guide is not very forceful on timing so we missed the opportunity to see sunset at the Point Venus. We do not recommend private tool for this excursion.
