Despite Burgundy could appear as a complex viticultural area, our team and sommelier, with more than 35 years of professional experience in Burgundy wines, personally knows the actors, the terroirs, and the secrets of tasting. For all lovers of Burgundy wines, we offer a unique place in Beaune for more than 10 years where you can taste and buy Burgundy wines. Enter this 200m² tasting room dedicated to your pleasure thanks to the tasting of nearly 40 wines by the glass representative of the richness of the Burgundian terroirs and a shop where you can buy our selection. Wide selection of Burgundy wines, more than 200 cuvées of wines from the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune, a selection of great wineries from all over France as well as thousands of bottles of old vintages from 1858, our tasting room and shop are essential places to visit during your trip to Beaune. Come and discover the many faces of Burgundy.

5.00We had an incredible wine tasting experience with Alex. We came in knowing almost nothing about Burgundy wines, and by the end, we felt like we had a real understanding of the region. What really stood out was how approachable and engaging Alex was. He explained everything clearly, in a way that was easy to follow without ever feeling oversimplified. We asked all kinds of basic questions, and he answered every one of them with patience and zero judgment, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. You can tell he’s deeply knowledgeable, but what makes him exceptional is his ability to share that knowledge in a way that actually sticks. We left not only having tasted great wines, but also with a much deeper appreciation and understanding of Burgundy. Highly recommend this experience, especially if you’re new to wine or just want to learn in a welcoming environment.

5.00Our wine guide Alex was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a really delightful time and met a lovely couple who joined us. The wines were outstanding and of great variety. This is not a typical one domaine tasting. The shop is not in city center with lots of tourists. It is very nicely priced especially for the selection of wines. We highly recommend a visit to the shop for an intimate experience.

We tasted three whites and four reds, and it was a true pleasure to discover the subtle nuances and identify our personal preferences. Thierry was incredibly patient in answering all our questions, which gave us a much deeper understanding of wine!

5.00Wonderful experience! Wine tasting guided by a very knowledgeable and interesting gentleman. We thoroughly enjoyed our degustation and also learned a great deal. Drinking the truly magnificent wines of Burgundy will never be the same again for us. This tour is a must for any visitors to Beaune.

5.00A very unexpected experience and not like any tasting Mary and I have ever done. Thierry, the proprietor of the shop where the tasting was done, only book an individuals or couples. He says he does this to “keep the information flowing smoothly.” About this he was very accurate. Over the next two hours or so, we received what could pass for a Master Class in the wine of Burgundy. With each of seven (!) wines, Thierry first introduced, then left us to form our own impressions, rather than telling us what we would smelling/tasting. He would then return, listen to our reactions and respond in a way that built our knowledge from one wine to the next. He was very serious and incredibly passionate about this product about which he has spent his entire adult life learning. He constantly encouraged us to talk about what we were experiencing, and used our thoughts to lead us to a deeper understanding. We consider the tasting (and we told Thierry this) to be a privilege, rather than a purchased event.
