Amazing day visiting the north of the island and seeing the main sites. Our driver Devin was nice and friendly.

Very much enjoyed everything about the day. A really good selection of stops, with Benny (my immensely amiable driver/guide) giving me flexibility as to how long we stopped at each. Despite some initial misgivings about markets, shops, malls and rum-tasting, it broke the day into bite-sized elements whilst allowing plenty of time at the big set piece attractions like Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden and the Château de Labourdonnais with its orchards and gardens. There was even time for three beach stops, including the achingly pretty "Red Church" at the wonderfully named Cap Malheureux (Cape of Misfortune). You'll end the day with the sense that you've seen all the highlights of the North of Mauritius and learnt much more than you'd anticipated.

Good tour, bad driving. Our driver didn't speak to us at all. We asked multiple questions about the locations and received a one word reply. The places we visited were good with the botanical gardens being highly recommend. They offer a guide in the gardens 75 rupees per person. We also asked to see China Town but our driver said "nothing to see" and continued driving We did a South tour too with a different provider and our guide was amazing so this was such a let down. .

We used Chucky Taxi for a private tour of North Mauritius and we had an excellent experience. The vehicle was clean and in excellent condition and our driver and guide was super knowledgeable and very accomodating to ensure taht we got the best from our day. We would have no hesitation in either using Chucky Taxi again or recommending him to others. Overall we had a great day exploring the north of the island and would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to do the same.

Nice trip through the North of Mauritius. We enjoyed staying at the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden and at the Labourdonnais Chateaux. Port Louis is okay, if you want to visit a city. But for shopping a good place to go. If you have the chance to visit the locals markets, there you should go. It's a great experience. We booked our trip on Mauritius National Day, so most of the shops, museums and markets were closed. But that was okay for us.

We had a pleasant trip with Kevin who - when we asked about it - along the way told me about the places we came by. Port Louis might not be the most exciting place; the castle with the view was nice but a dull tourist street (near the Cruise terminal) was not worth spending time on. We think the beaches on the northern part of the island are not as attractive as on the east coast (Belle Mare area)... but if you are for many tourists it is obviously ok.
