Anfiteatro de Italica
Itálica Amphitheatre is one of the most well-preserved and significant Roman amphitheaters in Spain. It was built in the 1st century AD and could hold up to 25,000 spectators. It featured various levels, an arena, and a system of underground tunnels and rooms for gladiators, animals, and stage equipment. Perhaps the most famous use of the Itálica Amphitheatre in modern times was as a filming location for the popular TV series "Game of Thrones." It served as the Dragonpit, a crucial location in the series' seventh season. 5.00Jorge brought the ruins to life! He was very informative, personable, and portrayed Emporer Hadrian beautifully! My husband is a retired History teacher and was impressed also! Sure, the public can explore the ruins, and read the signs, but he offered more in-depth information. The tortilla after the tour was delicious (we were not familiar with the dish-thinking of a flat, flour tortilla) and we enjoyed speaking with him. The pick-up and drop offs were so helpful! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Don't hesitate to reserve this tour.

5.00Our group included three adults and one six-year-old, and “Hadrian” led us on an unforgettable journey through history. He stayed fully in character the entire time, which made the experience even more immersive. Out of all the private tours we took in Seville, this was by far our favorite. The guide was not only a talented actor but also impressively knowledgeable about the era.

5.00This was a wonderful tour! We were picked up within a few minutes’ walk of our cruise ship and driven to Italica, where Jorge, ie Caesar, was waiting for us. The tour was entertaining, humorous, and informative. We were treated to a delightful Spanish lunch following the tour. I highly recommend!

5.00Although I had already visited Itálica several times, none was as enjoyable, interesting and fun as the one we did with Jorge. A journey through the history of the Roman Empire, with its unique touch of humor. We loved it and recommend it without a doubt!

5.00The experience of this tour in Itálica was surprising; for the historical place visited and for the enjoyable, fun and educational nature of the entire activity. I went with my partner and although both he and I are used to visiting many places, he was fascinated by this tour because it was different and out of the ordinary among what is offered to us tourists. In addition to spending a few very pleasant hours, it ends with a typical Spanish pincho and a wine to celebrate. The actor does a sublime job and we feel transported to the Roman empire; If you have a free morning in Seville, it is a highly recommended option.
