Noravank Monastery
Monastery Noravank dates back to XIII—XIV centuries. The complex includes 3 churches, the remains of medieval chapels and residential quarters and a modern office and hall.
Areni Wine Factory
You have an opportunity to taste armenian wine in Areni winery.
Old Bridge Winery
Situated on the right bank of the Arpa river, near Yeghegnadzor, Old Bridge's vineyards sprawl over five hectares at altitudes ranging between 1250-1300 meters above sea level. Strategically planted across five different positions and planes, they ensure optimal sun exposure. The owners, the Khalatian family, meticulously chose their seedlings to yield the finest Areni and Voskehat grapes. A single hectare yields 2.5-3 tons of grapes, with each berry handpicked and carefully sorted to guarantee only the ripest and undamaged bunches are selected for wine production.
Garni Temple
The pagan temple Garni was built in the 1st century AD by the armenian king Trdat. The temple Garni is the only monument connecting with the era of paganism and Hellenism, dedicated to the sun god Mithra. The temple is built according to the rules of the classical Greek architecture and looks very similar to the famous temple of Athens in Greece.
The Monastery of Geghard
The Monastery Geghard was built in the 4th century by The First Armenian Catholicos - Gregory the Illuminator.
The monument consists of huge paradoxically symmetric hexagon and pentagon basalt columns (nearly 50 meters high). These stones hanging against the gravity resemble an organ, which explains why it is also referred to as “Basalt Organ Pipes”.
Azat Reservoir
The territory of the reservoir is very beautiful. The sky and clouds are reflected in the water and, depending on the time of day, they give the reservoir a unique look. The Yeranos Mountains rise around the reservoir.
Alluria Wines
The annual tradition of making wine from Machanyan family originated in the village of Alur, Van region. The name of village was preserved from the name of the river Alluria flowing around. The head of the company is Samvel Machanyan, a financier by education, a lover of the ideas of organic winemaking. The company owns 5 hectares of land, which is located at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level. The vineyards are located in Armavir region, where sandy-clay soils prevail. The first Alluria wines were made from grapes grown on 60-year-old vines using organic viticulture. In the coming years, the brand plans to reach a production volume of 10,000 bottles per year.
Saghmosavank Monastery
Saghmosavank is a medieval Armenian monastic complex nestled along the picturesque gorge of the Kasagh River. The monastery, perched on the edge of a deep ravine, boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the Ararat Plain. Founded in the 13th century, Saghmosavank comprises a central church, dedicated to Saint Sion, and a scriptorium, where manuscripts were once meticulously copied and preserved.
Armenia Wine
“Armenia Wine” company was founded by Vardanyan and Mkrtchyan families as a manifestation of love for their homeland, nature and culture. Winery is located in Aragatsotn region, one of the viticulture regions of Armenia. It is situated between Yerevan and Mount Aragats, Armenia’s highest peak. Today Armenia Wine represents an exemplary winery, where century-old Armenian winemaking lives its time of renaissance. My experience with Land Of Noah was absolutely fantastic. From adjusting the trip to my personal needs to arranging a pick up at the train station rather than a hotel to having an absolutely lovely and experienced driver to very quickly answered questions to quick responses to needs and requests - everything was handled very professionally and in the most lovely way. You can feel that these are people that really want you to feel welcome in Armenia and really want you to enjoy your trip. I had the extra pleasure of spending three marvelous days in Armenia in May/which I think might be the best month to visit, as everything is beautiful and green and the smell of flowers is in the air. As Artur, MyDriver, was very attentive and took really good care of me there was not a single moment when I felt unsafe - even as a solo travelling female. He too went out of his way to help me whenever I needed it, be at booking train tickets or helping me with my luggage I was really well taken care of. so, thanks again to the lovely staff from land of noah- you’ve made this a great experience !!!
