Bajos del Toro
Before starting your hike to the turquoise falls, we stop for a moment in Bajos del Toro, a village surrounded by volcanic mountains and rainforest where nature dominates the landscape. Here, the earth has been shaped by ancient volcanic forces that gave rise to mineral-laden rivers and deep canyons hidden in the haze. The humidity of the forest, the sound of water and fresh air announce that we are entering a different, wilder and more authentic territory. Bajos del Toro is not a conventional tourist destination. It is the threshold to a more intimate, more authentic and less explored Costa Rica.
Tepezquintle Waterfall: The Start of Blue Territory. A Celeste River weaves its way between rainforest and Tepezquintle Waterfall marks the moment we leave the everyday world behind and enter a landscape shaped by ancient volcanic forces. Here begins contact with the light blue river that defines Blue Falls. In a private experience like this, the rhythm is leisurely and designed exclusively for you and your group, allowing you to observe the details of the cloud forest and understand how geology has given rise to this natural phenomenon.

5.00We had an incredible experience on our private tour with guide Adrián. From the very beginning, he proved to be extremely professional, attentive, and knowledgeable, making every part of the journey special. In two days, we were able to experience the best of Costa Rica starting from SJO. We visited a Starbucks coffee farm, explored Poás Volcano (and were lucky enough to see it clear — truly a breathtaking sight!), and ended the first day at the stunning Blue Falls. We spent the night in La Fortuna. Although Arenal Volcano didn’t fully reveal itself, the walk through the Hanging Bridges park was amazing — we saw monkeys, snakes, poisonous frogs, and incredibly lush nature. We wrapped up the day relaxing in the hot springs with a delicious piña colada — perfect! Adrián drove us back to SJO safely in a very comfortable vehicle. We have nothing but praise for him and the entire experience. We will definitely return to Costa Rica and would love to do another tour with Adrián!

5.00I am a traveler who prefers to go on his own, and this is the first time I was encouraged to take a private tour with Adrian and the truth has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. In addition to the main places we met a number of little-known sites along the way that left me in awe of the beauty of Costa Rica. I was impressed by the turquoise color of the waters in combination with nature. I totally recommend it, the time is taken advantage and enjoy to the fullest!
