Excursion to the Mtiuleti region, along the Georgian Military Highway, the village of Stepantsminda, to the pearl of the Caucasus Mountains - Mount Kazbegi. Trekking to the Church of the Gergeti Trinity located at an altitude of 2,170 m at the foot of Kazbek, right above the Stepantsminda.
Built in the XIV century, the sanctity is the only cross-domed churchmonastery in the area of Hevi.
On the way we will, visit the Ananuri fortress, on the shore of the lake Zhinvali.
Ananuri - belonged to one of the strongest feudal clans of late medieval Georgia - Aragvi Eristavs. The fortress belongs to the early feudal era, and served as an outpost of defense, blocking the road leading from the Daryal gorge to the Caucasian mountains.
Full day excursion to the pearl of the Caucasus Mountains - Mount Kazbegi. Trekking to the Church of the Gergeti Trinity (3 km). On the way, visit the Ananuri Fortress, Lake Zhinvali and the ski resort Gudauri. Rooms Hotel Kazbegi 4 * lunch (oprional).

5.00Fantastic day trip out to Kazbegi. Our guide, Vazha, was excellent with providing local knowledge and history of every part of the tour. The snow came which meant we couldn't do the paragliding however Vazha was fun and made the most of it as we had a light snowball fight instead. The day was very enjoyable and when back in Georgia I will definitely book another trip with this tour company... and i love Georgia next year i will come in Tbilisi ... Phoenix tours Georgia is the best tours agency and Highly recommend for me❤️
