My delightful, private tour guide Alex made the most of my short five hours in Hong Kong. She met me at the airport and handled all of our transportation logistics, including several buses and the cable car. Along the way, she taught me about Hong Kong's history, current events, as well as ancient Chinese mythology. Since the number of tourists was much lower than normal, I felt as if I had the city to myself, and it was magical! Our time at the Big Buddha was very special, and Alex continued sharing fascinating history lessons throughout. During a break at the monastery, we sampled various vegetarian treats, and Alex made sure that I had time to shop before we had to board the cable car, which was a highlight, in and of itself! Alex escorted me all the way back to the departure area at the airport, where we said good-bye. By putting myself in Alex' capable hands, I was able to turn off the part of my brain that would have otherwise been focused on finding my way around, and instead, focus on the many beautiful and captivating aspects of Hong Kong. Thank you, Alex! I can't think of a better way to spend five hours in Hong Kong. Alex is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She is also very pleasant company! If I return to Hong Kong, I will contact Alex to arrange my next private tour in another section of this fascinating area.
