5.00Rod picked us up and we began the day by giving alms of food to the monks. As a past monk, Rod was able to give us plenty of details and answered any questions we had about the lifestyle of a Buddhist Monk. We continued into through Chiang Mai visiting multiple temples, including Wat Suan Dok, Wat Sri Suphan (The Silver Temple) and Wat Chedi Luang, the latter two being the two most memorable. We went from Chedi Luang to the Chiang Mai Chinese Market and all left satisfied. After drop-off, one of our party realized a water bottle was left in the van. Rod was more than willing to drop it back off to our place and seemed genuinely happy to get it back to us. An excellent tour by an excellent guide!

5.00Love the fact that the tour was private and we can modify the activities a little bit and not worry about other peoples plan. Our tour guide was a monk before and he really answer the questions about budhaism in such a loving mindful way that it helped me to understand and respect the monk lifestyle better. because I asked him to pick me up at 5:45 am we got to do a lot that day that I asked him to call off some other temples that were in the agenda. I wish I would have more space in my suitcase to buy more things at the local market to bring back home.
