We had an amazing day with our guide Manny! He picked us up at our resort, we stopped for coffee and headed inland for a very educational mini-van ride. We were a party of four. Three of us in our late 40’s and one in her 80’s. Manny really seems to enjoy his job touring visitors and making them feel safe and VIP! He covered every toll on the drive and all admission fees. Manny also accommodated all of our groups unique needs, food allergy and mobility issues due to age. The ruins, Cenote, and lunch were above our expectations. Make sure to have hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and good walking shoes for the ruins. If you want authentic wares and goods, this is where you can find everything you need. So many indigenous vendors. Remember to haggle on the price of goods. We were surprised on low they actually went on the items. The ruins were hot, but mesmerizing. Stop 2 took is to the Cenote. So refreshing. 75 steps down into a lush cave. We saw iguanas, bats, birds and fish. You can jump off a platform, rope swing into the water, or walk down another set of stairs. Life jackets are required. The water was clean and it was just gorgeous. We floated and gazed at the natural beauty. Stop 3 was a late lunch. The food was fresh and authentic. Not like the (not amazing) resort food we have been eating. I recommend the latte too. I actually had a second since it was “that” good. Everyone enjoyed lunch. The guacamole was Ah-mazing too! The drive back was relaxing and Manny gave us great tips for the rest of our trip! I highly recommend this tour. Side note, the 80 year old did not do the Cenote swim. Too many stairs.

Ivan was an awesome guide. It was really beautiful seeing Chichen Itza and the rope swing at the cenote was a lot of fun.

Our private tour with Tours with Mike was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico. From start to finish, the experience felt seamless, thoughtful, and incredibly special. We visited Chichén Itzá, Ek Balam, a stunning cenote, and the charming city of Valladolid, and every stop felt perfectly paced rather than rushed. Our guide Daniel was phenomenal. His knowledge of the history, culture, and archaeology was impressive, but what really set him apart was his passion and ability to bring the stories to life. He answered every question with enthusiasm and made each site feel meaningful and memorable. Dennis, our driver, was equally fantastic. Professional, friendly, and attentive, he made the day smooth and comfortable from beginning to end. Choosing a private tour over a large group was absolutely the right decision. We never felt hurried, had the flexibility to enjoy each location fully, and received personalized attention throughout the day. It was relaxed, immersive, and far superior to any group tour we saw along the way. If you are visiting Mexico and want an exceptional, stress-free, and unforgettable experience, I cannot recommend Tours with Mike enough. This is the gold standard of touring, and we would book again without hesitation. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

After doing a deep dive into tour reviews in Cancun, my husband and I chose Tours with Mike and we’re so glad we did. We wanted a more personal experience, not to be herded around like lost cattle in a giant tour group. From the moment we paid our deposit, Mike was on it. He even sent a friendly reminder about what to pack for the day, much appreciated for an early start! Our guide, Jessica, and our driver, Denis, arrived right on time at 6:30 a.m. in our hotel lobby. We traveled in a clean, modern, and very comfortable vehicle on the way to Chichén Itzá. Jessica spoke excellent English and clearly explained the day’s itinerary and what to expect. Since it was such an early pickup, we made a quick stop for coffee and snacks, perfectly timed and very welcomed. At Chichén Itzá, we spent a couple of hours learning about the site from Jessica, whose knowledge and storytelling really brought everything to life. Best of all, we beat the crowds! Afterward, we headed to a cenote for a refreshing swim, followed by a lovely lunch in Valladolid. We returned to our resort around 7:00 p.m., relaxed and happy. Throughout the day, Jessica kindly took photos for us so we could stay present in the moment and later sent them to us, which was such a thoughtful touch. All in all, it was a smooth, stress-free, and memorable day. Huge thanks to Jessica and Denis for outstanding customer service. Well done—you made our experience truly special! 🌟

Amazing day, thank you Jessica and Dennis. Jessica is sooo knowledgeable about Mayan culture that she brought Chichenitza alive! Got there lovely and early before crowds arrived then the family had a swim in the cenote which was so peaceful. Lovely meal afterwards. Great day, easy, flowed well and back at hotel in time for a relax in the sun. I’d highly reccomend tours with Mike, private tours so much better and flexible with young baby around. Thank you all so much . Family Attwell x
