What To Expect
Pink Street
Pink Street, in the Cais do Sodré, is one of those streets that draws attention DE far away. The floor is literally pink, and that already ensures amazing photos. Today it is one of the most famous places DE Lisbon, especially among those who want to combine history, animation and a different look.
Largo do Carmo
The Largo do Carmo is one of those corners DE Lisbon that surprises by its calm. In the middle of the Chiado and so close to the bustle DA the city, it looks like a quiet refuge, surrounded POR trees, historic buildings and that charm that only Lisbon has. The highlight, of course, are the ruins of the Carmo Convent. They stand there, imposing, open to the sky, reminiscent of the Readership of the 1755 earthquake. It's impossible to look at those giant walls and not imagine what's already happened in there. It's a living, exposed history, without filters. The breeze also has a strong connection with the recent history DE Portugal. It was there that, in 1974, the troops of the Craves Revolution gathered and surrounded the headquarters DA PIDE, marking one of the most important moments DA Portuguese democracy, that DA the dictatorship! In other words, it is a place where different times cross.
