National Parliament House
The Bangladesh National Parliament Building (Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban) is one of the most iconic architectural wonders in the world, designed by the legendary American architect Louis I. Kahn. Located in the capital city Dhaka, this magnificent structure serves as the seat of the National Parliament of Bangladesh. Completed in 1982, the building stands as a symbol of democracy and national pride. It is celebrated for its bold geometric design, expansive water bodies, and skillful use of natural light and ventilation. The vast complex covers 200 acres, featuring serene lakes, lush green landscapes, and striking concrete forms that blend seamlessly with nature. The central building consists of eight peripheral blocks surrounding the main assembly hall, which is crowned with a majestic domed ceiling. The strategic use of circular and triangular openings allows daylight to illuminate the interiors, creating a breathtaking play of light and shadow.
A true heritage market of Dhaka, Shahbag Flower Market is a vibrant explosion of colors, scents, and local life. Here, rows of fresh marigolds, roses, tuberoses, and orchids create a breathtaking floral landscape that reflects the city’s cultural heartbeat. This was a lovely tour in Dhaka. Mahim was a fantastic guide who knows the city very well. Dhaka is a very congested city so it really pays to have an experienced guide to navigate you through the madness! We shared in great conversation throughout the day as we explored. Tara Masjid was the highlight for me, it is so beautiful inside. I returned for a second visit after this tour I liked it so much. Lalbag Fort was also a highlight - wow what a beautiful place! I would highly recommend this private tour for those who want to see the special parts of this busy city. Bring your umbrella just in case :)

Eakram, the tour guide, made my trip! He was super flexible and kind. I told him anything i wanted to do and he was a very knowledgeable guide. It was his day off because of the holiday, but he still decided to take me, which im very grateful for. 10/10 experience. I would book with them again, when I come back to Bangladesh.

I recommend everyone to sign up for this visit. the city of Dhaka is very chaotic and without an expert guide it would be impossible to visit all the places provided for by this trip. I also think that the choice of the itinerary is very good because it combines places of great historical value with markets and crafts. the passage on the river is very exciting. the guide Mahib was very helpful and open to all our questions. another important note, the van had air conditioning and they came to pick us up and brought us directly to the hotel. during the trip we also asked for a stop for shopping and there were no problems, even if this resulted in an extension of the scheduled times

Mahim was excellent, with amazing historical and cultural knowledge of Dhaka and Bangladesh. Thank you for making my trip extra special ❤️ (and special shoutout to the driver - managing Dhaka traffic was certainly not an easy feat!)

I really enjoyed the tour. We visited all the main sights near Old Dhaka and finished with a boat trip. My guide Shumon was great and tried to adapt the tour to my interests. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the main highlights in Dhaka.

I have booked this tour quite in advance to experience Dhaka during a few days of layover. My guide was Mahim -- very knowledgeable, who provided be constantly during the day with background information about the sites and culture, in general. Everything went smooth thanks to excellent driver despite challenging traffic. After all the stops, we ended the tour back at the hotel after exactly 8h, as indicated during the briefing. Overall, absolute recommendation for everyone who wants to explore Dhaka in one full day.

A fantastic tour of Dhaka, encompassing all the beautiful sites this city has to offer. The Lalbagh Fort is definitely the star attraction but also loved the boat ride down the Buriganga River. Our guide was very fun, friendly and courteous and took time to adapt to our preferences including adding on a stop at the Hasaini Dalan when we had a bit of extra time. Very much recommended!

I had the pleasure of having Mahi as my private tour guide for a Dhaka Heritage Tour. First, he speaks excellent English. Secondly, Mahi is extremely knowledgeable about Dhaka and its history, plus he offered lots of helpful general tourism advice. He is so knowledgeable about this country that the government of Bangladesh has sent him to other countries (such as Europe) to speak about Bangladesh tourism in the past. I like how he kept checking in with me about how the tour was going. I also loved the “locals” place we went for lunch. Lastly, Mahi was flexible with things. For example, I wanted to tour a ferry boat terminal (that I saw on YouTube), and although it wasn’t on the official tour, he happily deviated and we toured that area. Overall, I loved the tour and that Mahi was my tour guide.
