It was fantastic ! Tui was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the village and the temple . He explained the Buddhist monks and their teachings, rituals, and how the region transpired. I give it and him a 12/10 !!!

We had a wonderful time visiting the temple and seeing the cherry blossoms in the vicinity. Mr Tui, our guide was very patient with the elderly ie. our mum with whom we brought along. Thanks for making the experience a memorable one!

Very good! Excellent morning in the company of the very attentive guide John, who gave us immense information about the culture of the Hmong tribe and the Doi Suthep temple. We advise!

Family of 4 had a great 5=hour tour in a nice van with the perfect guide: Poongkie. It was the ideal way to tour spots: with a very knowledgable guide who talked just the right amount. And very accommodating.

Tourist guide was absolutely unmotivated; let us get off at the village entrance u said we should look around for an hour u then wait at the minibus;same thing at the temple - a great pity; you could have gotten a lot out of the trip with a little more motivation

We are a family from UK with young children and we had a lovely time visiting the village and temple. We had a driver and a guide with excellent English. The driver was driving carefully, which is quite appreciated! Our guide, her name is May, was very friendly, patient with our kids and very knowledgeable about Thailand history, the tribe history and the temple's origins. She explained us how Buddhists pray in the temple. Our family got a "benediction" from a monk, and a bracelet for protection. I cannot recommend the tour and our guide, May, high enough. Thank you for the lovely time. Nicolas

Small tour group which is great. Our tour guide May was wonderful and so is the the driver Mr. Bah (not sure if im spelling it right. Just some comments. i guess when I signed for the tour the picture in the hotel tour book, Suthep Temple had a different picture, it was showing a huge Giant Buddha with a large white staircase. Also the Hmong Village tour, it was showing the Kayan Lahwi tribe picture and so that was I was expecting. Our hotel was the first pick up and took almost an hour to pick up all the guests in their respective hotels to get picked up. So with the traffic and actual travel time to the mountains it was a good hour and a half. The first stop was the Hmong Village. I thought this was where the tribe was but I guess not included in the tour itself but did not read the fine prints in the tour description in the hotel since I just looked at the pictures. The village was good, got some good food and visited a lovely garden. the second stop was the temple. I wished we had stopped at the temple first so it will be less crowded. So by the time we got there, so many people already and difficult to experience the temples serenity. It would be good to put in the description about pick up, and the itinerary. Better to go to temple first when not so crowded then the Hmong Village. Probably update the pictures in the hotel cause I was totally expecting a different place.

We were collected from our hotel by our tour guide John, what an amazing character. We were driven by Max in a 9 seater air conditioned minibus with very comfy leather seats. John told us about what we could expect from the trip and discussed the complexities of the Thai language. John has such a funny sense of humour we found him absolutely engaging and so knowledgable about all things Thai. Johns English is excellent and loves to share so many funny stories we laughed all afternoon. The trip was superb, as we had been given key information about what to look out for. 1 hour at the temple was all that was needed. John was considerate and took us the easy routes to get to the top. The views from the temple were beautiful and not to be missed, the road getting there was a little narrow and winding in places but Max our driver was incredibly skilled and an excellent driver. Max knew exactly what he was doing in a tight spot we felt very safe indeed. We had a lovely coffee in the Hmong village and laughed so much. John thank you again as we discussed and laughed about on the day we still think you are over qualified and so glad you are, and will always have fond memories of you Kevin and Alison

We took a private tour with our guide M and driver Thai to Doi Suthep and the Hmong Hill Village. M was a fantastic guide telling us all about the various hill tribes in Thailand and about buddhism. Touring Doi Suthep with M was a truly once in a lifetime experience. What an amazing way to spend a half-day in Chiang Mai!! Would definitely recommend!!

We went on a half day tour of the temple and village. It was great to see the temple, but the village and understanding the life of the people of Chiang Mai was amazing. The guide had great insight into the culture and history of Chiang Mai. A great and enjoyable trip.
