Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana)
The Roman temple of Évora, known as the Temple of Diana, is located in the city of Évora, is part of the historical center of the city, which was classified as a World Heritage by UNESCO. Ranked as National Monument. It is one of the most famous landmarks of the city and one of the most significant symbols of the Roman presence in Portuguese territory.
Igreja De Sao Francisco
The Church of St. Francis in Evora is a church of Gothic-Manueline architecture. Built between 1480 and 1510 by masters of Pedraria Martim Lourenço and Pero de Trilho and decorated by the royal painters Francisco Henriques, Jorge Afonso and Garcia Fernandes, it is closely linked to the historical events that marked the period of maritime expansion of Portugal. This is evident in the symbols of the monumental nave of the vaulting vault: the cross of the Order of Christ and the emblems of the founding kings, D. João II and D. Manuel I. According to tradition, Gil Vicente was buried in this church in 1536.

My husband was not feeling well, so I did a solo tour of Évora with Filipe—and I’m so glad I did. Even though it was another rainy day, she made the entire experience unforgettable. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the town’s history and encouraged me to take my time, especially while visiting the Chapel of Bones. Experiencing it slowly, at my own pace, was so impactful. Filipe also guided me up to the rooftop of the chapel, which offered incredible views I never would have found on my own. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in town at a restaurant she recommended, and it was the perfect pause in the middle of the day. What I appreciated most was how she made sure I felt comfortable, never rushed, and able to fully enjoy the experience—even on my own. If you’re visiting Évora, I can’t recommend Filipe enough. She has the knowledge, patience, and care that make a tour feel truly special.

Eusebio was such a nice guide. He drove us for 4 days around Alentejo showing us all the beautiful hidden gems, sharing plenty of facts and making us laugh. I'd recommend his tours as he's a knowledgeable local and has some great recommendations. He also took us lots of spontaneous pictures, such a good photographer!

We had an absolutely amazing day with Eusebio exploring the Alentejo region. We had lots of time to walk around Monsaraz and Evora, nothing was rushed. We also loved the winery visit and the beautiful scenery along the way. Highly recommend this tour for a more relaxed, slow-paced experience.

I had a wonderful tour with George. He was flexible and accommodating to what I was interested in seeing and a great conversationalist. The tour went longer than planned so he could make sure to show me everything in the area. I would highly recommend this tour!

To be honest, we had only two days left in Lisbon and decided last minute to try to book a tour to see Evora. We were incredibly lucky to have found Jorge with Eagle Tours to be our guide to Evora and Monsaraz. He was scheduled to be on holiday but when he was told we requested him as our guide, he graciously came to our hotel to take us. Jorge is a lovely gentleman who is rich in historical knowledge and passion for his country so we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect companion. The drive to the countryside was a nice change from the bustle of Lisbon - so green and lush with olive and cork trees and almond orchards. Jorge gave us a walking tour of Evora which we very much enjoyed before taking us to one of his favorite pastry shops tucked away on a small street in town. On our way to Monsaraz he made a special stop to show us Alqueva, Europe’s largest man made lake which was impressive as it was beautiful. Our last stop in Monsaraz gave the most amazing views of the countryside from a top the hill. We were able to visit a local wine shop for a private tasting - delicious way to end the day. Absolutely recommend this tour! Jorge is a gem of a guide and we feel fortunate to have spent the day with him.

My mother and I had a delightful full day tour to Evora and Monzarat with Jorge. He was our guide for one half -day and two full day tours and we could not ask for a more pleasant knowledgeable companion for our adventures. Jorge has a degree in history, so his explanations brought the story of Portugal's towns, kings, and other assorted colorful figures alive. The tous we're some of the best we've booked. Highly recommend Eagle, especially if you can request Jorge as your guide.

Eusebio Lima (Lima) picked up our group of 3 at the Lisbon airport & drove/guided us for 4 days toward the Algarve. We toured Evora, Vila Vicosa, Monsaraz, Mertola. During that time he became a friend as well as our guide. If you have the opportunity to book his company do it. You will thank me. 1st Night Hotel Quinta da Comporta 2nd Night Alentejo Marmories Hotel & SPA 3rd Night Hotel Malhadinha
