Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Tower of Pisa, known worldwide for its characteristic inclination, is one of the most iconic monuments in Italy. Located in the Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa, the tower is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Pisa. Construction began in 1173, but due to the soft terrain, the tower began to tilt already during the work. About 56 meters high, the Tower of Pisa is a masterpiece of medieval architecture. 5.00Mamma Mia did a great job fir our party of 5! The minivan was comfortable and clean. Our tour guide, Ali, was amazing! He was very professional, considerate, helpful and provided interesting, appropriate commentary and information throughout our tour. The restaurant he recommended us to eat at was delicious, with great service. Our driver, Roberto, was great and friendly. Our Academia tour guide, Stefano, explained the process the sculptors used to create their sculptures in addition to guiding us to the sculptures and explaining the their history. My partner had unknowingly lost his phone in the minivan and Ali especially and Roberto made a successful effort to find the phone and return it to us. We are so thankful to both of them.

5.00When we left Rome, we were concerned with the weather. Our driver Max and tour guide Antonella assured us that we would be able to see the important sights of both regardless. The sights of Pisa were spectacular, so happy we got to see and experience the Tower and churches there. Florence was just brilliant - it would be brilliant on a nice day but we got to experience everything we wished for but in the pouring rain. We arrived safely back in Rome after a thirteen hour day. Very tired but extremely pleased with the day. Thanks to all.
