Before arriving in the city of Montevideo, we arranged a private tour for the four of us of the city. We couldn’t have been more delighted.Paola our guide and our driver Rodrigo were both delightful. The van was new and comfortable with plenty room for our walker. Paola was fun, kind, and deeply knowledgeable about Montevideo and Uruguay in general. We were taken to all the highlights of the city. We even got to see a mass in the cathedral led by the cardinal of Montevideo himself. Paola asked us the specific things that we were interested in seeing and arranged it all accordingly and beautifully. She took us out to a wonderful lunch at a restaurant dating back to the 1880s, a panoramic view of the city from atop city hall, and so many other wonderful sites. Being from Punta del Este , she also gave us recommendations for sites and dining there. That was our next stop. I cannot recommend this tour and the staff highly enough. If you want something that is personalized, personable, and just plain fun. This is the tour for you.

Our group of four enjoyed a wonderful 3+ hours city tour of Montevideo with the absolutely amazing Paola! Our visit to this fantastic city was made even more special due to Paola, who not only has an extraordinary command of the English language, but is hugely knowledgeable, entertaining and able to answer questions on any subject. She made our visit very special and we would recommend her wholeheartedly!

We started our tour leaving Celebrity Equinox at the port and We always try to tour in small groups. We had 6 of us this day. We found Paola waiting for us just outside the port gates. Paola is a warm, smart multi-lingual guide. She has one goal, to make our day great. She prepared a comprehensive tour of the city with a combination of walking and driving in an air conditioned van piloted by Pablo who was terrific. We spent several hours touring and later we were able to see where we’d gone from the rooftop tower of city hall. We finished the day with a walk through the port market where we had a very nice lunch and then walked across the street to the port gates. Please ask for Paola for your guide with Urban Tours. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

We had an excellent private tour with Favio. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely passionate about Montevideo. Nothing was too much trouble — he was flexible, obliging, and made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. We learned so much about the city’s history and culture, and his insights added real depth to every stop. A fantastic guide and a brilliant tour.

We had a brilliant day discovering Montevideo with Paulo our guide. She shared her love of her country and city with enthusiasm. We learnt so much and were able to go at our own pace. We had sent our interests to Paulo in advance and she ensured that they were all met. I would highly recommend this tour.
