Had a great day with Corrado as our guide. Learned and saw a lot of Etna, stopped at a local honey shop, and ended the day with the perfect lunch and wine tasting at a local winery with an amazing view. Great experience and MUCH preferred the private, intimate setting as opposed to the large group tours for this one.

Long drive to see old lava spill . Tour guide was kind but stops were not impressive . Luch was very low quality at a small vineyard . Wine was ok food was not. We should have been told to wear boots . Walked in mud and snow. Didn’t justify price at all .

Our private tour of Mount Etna was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Sicily. If you’re debating whether the private tour is worth the extra cost — it absolutely is. Our guide, Corrado, was phenomenal. His knowledge of the volcano was incredible. He explained everything from Etna’s eruption history to the different lava rocks and landscapes we were walking through. You could tell immediately that this isn’t just a job for him — it’s a passion. Corrado truly seems like a volcano expert, and he shared so much fascinating information that made the entire experience even more meaningful. The tour itself was unforgettable. We hiked across the volcanic landscape, explored a lava cave, and even found snow on the mountain — such a surreal contrast against the black lava rock. Corrado made sure we felt safe the entire time while still allowing us to explore and enjoy the adventure at our own pace. Another incredible part of the day was stopping at a local winery. The owner’s wife prepared lunch for us, and it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. The food was delicious, the wine was fantastic, and the hospitality made the experience feel so personal and authentic. What made the private tour truly special was the flexibility and intimacy. No crowds, no rushing — just the freedom to move at our pace, ask questions, and fully take in the beauty of Etna. Hiking a volcano, walking through a cave, seeing snow, drinking local wine, and enjoying homemade Sicilian food — it was an unforgettable day. Highly recommend the private tour and especially Corrado if you want an informative, safe, and truly special Etna experience.

Corrado was absolutely exceptional — this was easily one of the best experiences of our entire trip. From the start, it was clear he knows Mount Etna and the surrounding region inside and out. He struck the perfect balance of keeping everything safe and comfortable while still delivering a truly unique and exciting adventure. The scenery was unreal — we experienced beautiful snow on Etna that made the landscape feel almost surreal, and exploring the volcanic caves was both stunning and genuinely exciting. These weren’t just quick stops — Corrado made sure we really experienced each moment. What really sets him apart is how personalized everything felt. This was not a standard, cookie-cutter tour. We visited spots and had experiences that larger groups clearly miss. It felt exclusive, thoughtful, and incredibly well curated. Corrado goes above and beyond in every way and clearly takes pride in delivering something special. If you are considering a private Etna and winery tour, this is 100% worth every penny. Highly, highly recommend — he deserves all the recognition.

This private tour was one of the best I have experienced. Our tour guide, Massimo, was engaging, knowledgeable about the history of Mt. Etna and the local area, and skilled in his driving. He selected a wonderful winery for wine and food tasting that was in a picturesque setting. I appreciated that he took such care with our safety and comfort during our hike of Mt. Etna and even took a group photo for us. I would definitely take this tour again.

If you’ve never been to Sicily or the Mt Etna area, this is a must do tour. Omar our guide was great. We were picked up from our hotel in Taormina and drove up the mountain for one of the most amazing hikes I’ve ever done. The weather was a bit fridges and cold so we were not able to ride the cable car higher up. But we were able to hike around some of the lower craters and experience a lot of the same scenery that we would’ve seen higher up. Omar had some extra jackets, but make sure to bring good footwear and be prepared with cold weather clothing. We then made a stop and a cute little honey and olive oil shop. Delicious stuff. Then we made our way to La Gelsomina winery and were treated to a lovely antipasto platter and 4 glasses of wine. Jessica at the winery was great answering our questions and took us on a little walk through the property. Beautiful place! Highly recommend this tour!

This tour could not have been a better experience! The guides were experienced, professional, wise, and so kind and courteous. The Gambino Winery was fabulous and we appreciate the food along with the wine tasting to make this an epic experience. It was absolutely delectable! Lastly I want to say that, if I could clone the tour hosts for every tour, I 100% would. They were wonderful and made the experience a complete and total joy!
