What To Expect
Kathmandu
Kathmandu Nepal's one-day tour starts from your hotel in Kathmandu, where our city tour guides will accompany you around places of great interest for five to seven hours with fascinating times around impressive places within the city. As Kathmandu Darbar square is blessed with ancient historical palaces, religious monuments of both Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries located side by side in perfect harmony, where you can observe wonderful sites as listed in World Heritage, a short drive to inner parts of Kathmandu city and visit places of great wonders of old Hanuman Dhoka. From here visit the Resident and Living quarter of the famous Kumari regarded as Living-Goddess (a young girl picked before reaching puberty period, retires after reaching woman-wood with the first period). Continue to visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath stupa, Boudhanath the Buddhi stupa & Pashupatinath the open public ceremony.
The oldest Buddhist stupa on the highest hill in Kathmandu.

5.00I recommend not missing this experience, everything was incredible. Kathmandu has a truly incredible historical and cultural heritage, and seeing it in person is even more impressive. Paras, the guide, knows absolutely everything you could ask him, he is clear and provides a wealth of knowledge. He also helped with some great photos and was punctual and flexible when necessary. I will repeat tours with this company without hesitation, everything is very professional.

5.00Really great way to see a some iconic destinations in Kathmandu if you're very short of time or trying to kill a day before an evening flight. Shankar (the guide) is very knowledgeable and had a lot of information to share, and having a private driver was also very handy. Recommended!

5.00We hit the jackpot with our guide, Shankar. Shankar met us at our hotel and we sat down to discuss each of the sites. He gave us a lot of background and wrote the notes all out on paper that we then got to keep for reference. The driver met us all in a comfortable car. It is so valuable to have a driver taking you everywhere and getting you to the right location. Kathmandu traffic is best handled by an experienced local. All of the sites are so interesting and Sankar is a font of knowlege, and a good photographer as well. He was always happy to take our photo. We stopped for lunch while Shankar also had a break. Before leaving the restaurant, we had another presentation about Nepali politics and changes through the years. Again, all was written down for us to keep! We also visited an artist workshop where we had the opportunity to buy mandala originals at an "almost free" price. While we were walking in the area, three weddings with marching bands came through. It was an auspicious day for weddings and lucky for us to witness. Shankar is very easy to understand and he is an amazing font of knowledge. He explains things so well and writes so legibly, I guessed correctly that he had once been a teacher. Be prepared to pay all of the entry fees for the people in your party. If you go, I hope that Shankar is your guide!

5.00Shankar was my tour guide for a full day tour of Kathmandu focusing on the 4 World Heritage sites. Shankar was deeply knowledgeable about the history and relevant details of each site visit and readily educated me as much as possible. The tour was organized and well-paced leaving time for luch and breaks. I would highly recommend Shankar to guide you during your visit to Kathmandu!
