Arakurayama Sengen Park
The Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine, also known as the Chureito Pagoda, is a famous Shinto shrine located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It is renowned for its stunning view of Mount Fuji in the background. The shrine and its iconic pagoda offer a picturesque scene that attracts both locals and tourists, especially during the cherry blossom season and autumn foliage. The Chureito Pagoda was built in 1963 as a part of the shrine complex and serves as a vantage point to capture the beauty of Mount Fuji. Visitors need to climb a series of 400steps to reach the pagoda, and from its elevated position, they can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the sacred mountain and the surrounding landscape. The Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine is not only a place of worship but also a popular spot for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers. It offers a unique perspective of Japan's most iconic and majestic symbol, Mount Fuji.
Haha no Shirataki Waterfall
Shirataki Waterfalls! There are actually several waterfalls in Japan with the name "Shirataki", which translates to "white waterfall" because of the way the water flows in thin white streams, kind of like threads of silk. That’s a beautiful and poetic spot near Lake Kawaguchi, right by Mt. Fuji. The name literally means "Mother’s White Waterfall", which already sounds kind of spiritual or nurturing. It's a small but sacred waterfall located in the forested hills near Kawaguchiko, and it’s part of a pilgrimage route. There's even a small shrine near it—Haha-no-Shirataki Shrine and traditionally, women would go there to pray for safe childbirth and maternal health. The whole area has a peaceful, mystical vibe, especially with the sound of the water flowing in that quiet forest setting.

My wife and were staying in Kawaguchiko and decided to explore the area using this tour. Asad was our driver for the day and it was perfect. Showed up early in a very clean car. He knew about every good spot to see Mount Fuji and avoid the crowds. Very patient and friendly. He asked us if we had any specific requirements or places to see, which he took us as well but also to some spots very few knew about. Highly recommend.

We had an incredible day trip to Mt. Fuji thanks to our amazing driver and guide, Takura. From start to finish, his communication was excellent and he made the entire day seamless, relaxing, and enjoyable. Takura was extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared so much interesting information throughout the trip while also keeping the atmosphere fun and personable. He also takes the BEST photos! He carefully planned an itinerary that allowed us to check off everything we wanted to see while avoiding the crowds. Every stop was beautiful and perfectly timed, making the whole experience stress-free and memorable. If you’re planning a Mt. Fuji tour, we highly recommend Takura. He truly made our trip special and unforgettable!

I can honestly say that after the week and half trip I’ve had in Japan that this tour was the absolute highlight of my trip. Our guide Abdul was not only knowledgeable of the area but his kindness and personality shown through as well. He was able to take amazing pictures and take us to locations that one may not see with a larger tour group. His consideration about the time and weather conditions say volumes on the caliber of guide that himself and his company employ. On my return trip I will definitely be contacting him again for another amazing experience.

Amazing Tour, Abdul was our tour guide and did an amazing job. He talked with us about best times to arrive due to weather on our specific day we scheduled. We took his recommendation and it worked perfectly! We went a bit earlier in the morning than scheduled, no people and no clouds! He took us to many interesting stops and we had great conversations about the area. The shrines were super nice touch and he was flexible with our friend who has a heart condition and could only do certain things.

We had a great time on this trip. Much better choice than trying to navigate public transit to get from Tokyo. Hasan was a fantastic guide and took us to some interesting locations and shared great insight. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend for anyone in Tokyo trying to see Mt Fuji!
