In this tour we cross the regional road in a VW Beetle Cabrio or other classic car towards the Ribeira Brava with passage through Câmara de Lobos and Campanário. Admire the great views along the way. We stop at Cabo Girão, the highest cliff in Europe with 580 meters (entrance paid). Possibilitie of tasting poncha (or other regional drink) in Câmara de Lobos and Serra de Água. Return by the expressway.

5.00A fantastic tour booked through Carochentos. Great communication with Rodolfo prior to booking discussing various options . The tour was tailor made to our requirements. Met at the ship by Miguel in his gorgeous convertible beetle. He was a very safe & considerate driver who gave us information along the way and answered all our questions. A real pleasure to be in his company and in his car. Can’t recommend highly enough.

5.00We were picked up from our hotel in Canico by Miguel in his beautifully restored Volkswagen Beetle convertible. Miguel is a lovely guy with so much knowledge of his stunning island.( He also has an amazing knowledge of Volkswagens!) The tour took us through the back streets of Funchal where Miguel explained the history of the place and its architecture. We saw so much of this beautiful island that it’s difficult to put it into words.From incredible mountains to waterfalls and the glass platform that you can walk on! All we can say is do it. It’s also worth doing for all the people waving at you, and of course the Poncha! Thanks Miguel.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tour. Our driver/guide (Miguel) was excellent - a very safe driver, he shared interesting information without any “lecturing” and was very happy to chat and answer questions. The balance between the amount of time spent driving and walking was perfect. An open-topped VW Beetle is perfect for seeing the sights. Very highly recommended.

5.00The ride with Miguel and his VW Beetle convertible was a lot of fun for us. Miguel explained a lot to us and drove with us from Funchal to Camara de Lobos. Graduation was then at the Poncha bar of Serra de Agua before returning to the hotel. We can only recommend the tour

5.00Lovely half day drive with a friendly, knowledgeable driver. My husband has some mobility problems but this trip was ideal and the driver (I can’t remember his name) was very patient.

5.00We truly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it! The only changes / improvements that we suggest are: 1. Find out the name of the ship, where they are docking and pick up Passengers as close as possible to the Pier. 2. Only stop for 1 Poncha Tasting (instead of 2) 3. Add enough time for a quick stop for Portuguese Tapas or a light Portuguese Lunch. 4. Add a quick stop to the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum (famous Professional Soccer Player born in Madeira).
