After arriving in Caen from Toulouse, we had a free afternoon before our day long trip of the Normandy beaches and memorials the next day. We found Thomas's tour listed and booked a City Walking Tour. Our experience was excellent and Thomas went above and beyond as a tour guide! We had a great time! My mother & I traveled together (ages 58 & 79). We also had a young couple in our 20s join us. Before the trip, Thomas contacted us to confirm the arrangements and pick-up point. He made sure that my mom was comfortable and able to keep up with all the walking. He showed us all the highlights of the town, told us all about the ancient (William the Conquer) and recent (WWII) history, its vibrancy as a University town (and made sure to stop and snap some pictures of us!) Since we were there on a Monday, Thomas even made sure we had some potential restaurant options, even checking in with us later to make sure we were getting along ok. His pride and love of his town came through in his tour and made it an enjoyable experience for all of us.
