Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew)
The Emerald Buddha image, the most important Buddha image in Thailand is enshrined inside the ordination hall of the temple. The Emerald Buddha image wasn't cast from Emerald but was cast from high quality of green jade. We found the Buddha image in 1432. You come to Thailand, you should go and pray for your luck.
The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace was constructed together with the founding of Bangkok in 1782 when King Rama 1 ascended to the throne and founded a new dynasty. The Grand Palace is very important as it used to be the palladium of the state. It was used for both the royal residence and the administrative center of the country in the government system of absolute monarchy. Today, the palace is used just for ceremonials. The architectural plan of this palace was almost identical in every detail to the Grand Palace of the former capital of Ayutthaya (about 600 years ago) because the King wanted to recreate the glory of the city as it was in the past. So it was completely first built in traditional Thai style. However, at various periods, the influences from other nations affect to the architecture in Thailand in different reigns such as the Chinese elements introduced by King Rama 3 in the early 19th century and the western building style introduced by King Rama 5 in the late 19th century.

It’s called the “Three Must-See Temples” for a reason they truly live up to the name. The Grand Palace was absolutely stunning, beyond anything you could imagine. The other two temples were just as beautiful in their own way. What made the day even better was our guide, Jenny. She was patient, cheerful, and explained everything clearly and with such a good vibe. We really enjoyed this tour and would totally recommend Jenny if you get the chance to visit!

WOW! Such an amazing excursion visiting all these temples in the capital. And understanding how integrated in society the Buddhist and monk culture really is in Thailand, it left me in awe, and I will cherish this memory forever. We got so many amazing pictures, and our super guide Patrick helped us with this, so a big shout-out to you Patrick for making this memory with us. Please be sure to use appropriate attire, if you are planning to go inside the temples. Thank you.

When we covered some of the sights on different tours on previous days, Poppy was very flexible and came up with different sights for us to see. She was very sweet and seems to love telling people about her country. Thanks for a great day!

Man, wandering around Bangkok solo turned out to be a total win, all thanks to Poppy. The guy’s got this goofy charm super chill, makes you feel like you’ve known her for ages. Seriously, the temples Mind-blowing. I was kinda worried it’d be a rushed take your photo and move along vibe, but nope. Poppy let me just vibe, take it all in, ask dumb questions, whatever. If you’re flying solo and want a mix of culture, gorgeous sights, and someone who actually gives a damn if you’re having fun, this is the way to do it. Felt like the universe handed me a perfect day.

We had an amazing time on our private tour! Got picked up from our hotel on time in a comfortable car by a friendly driver and our wonderful tour guide Katie. We first went to the Grand Palace and Katie expertly guided us through the beautiful building while telling us about Thailand's interesting history. She knew all the best picture spots took lots of photos of us that she sent us later. We then moved on to Pho Temple where we got to see the incredible reclining Buddah. It was a very hot day, so Katie made sure to alternate shade and air-conditioned spaces with the sweltering outdoors and kept cool water in her bag for us to sip. We then went on a 1 hours boat tour on the canal (this was optional at an additional price) where we got to see more of Bangkok, spotted some monitor lizards and fed some catfish. The final stop was Wat Arun which was very busy with lots of tourists but Katie expertly guided us through the crowds and took some more great photos of us. Back in the car we were given chilled bottles of water and cool towels to cool down after walking in the heat. At the end of the day Katie sent us lots of lovely photos she took of us during the day. We had the best time and could not recommend this tour any more!

We joined a private tour of the Grand Palace and other temples with Poppy as our guide. Since it was also our first day in Bangkok, our schedule was a bit ambiguous. However, Poppy was very responsive whenever we had questions or concerns regarding our meetup time. She is very knowledgeable about the history of Thailand, the palace, and the temples, and she was able to address any questions we had. It was a very nice tour experience.

An excellent, well organised trip around some of the temples of Bangkok plus a great river cruise. Nok was a fabulous guide and made it interesting for all of the family. She took us to a fabulous local restaurant and kept us supplied with cool water all day which was important considering how hot it was. She also took lots of photos for us to treasure. Her knowledge of Bangkok and it's history was excellent as was her English. Thank you so much Nok.

Did this temple tour with Pat and had a really good time. The explanations were clear and easy to understand, with just the right amount of detail. Nothing too much, just enough to enjoy and learn something new. The Grand Palace was busy, but Pat managed the timing well and showed us quieter spots. We also visited Pho temple and Arun temple, which looked great in the afternoon light. The whole day felt relaxed, not rushed. Good route, helpful tips, and smooth experience all around.
