For group sizes of up to 4, 8 or 15 passengers, this Private Day Trip from York, just for your party, provides the opportunity to explore the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, visiting Bolton Castle, Askrigg, Kettlewell, Pateley Bridge and the traditional Dales Market Town of Hawes, where you will have the opportunity to visit the award winning Wensleydale Creamery, the home of Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese!

What To Expect
Bolton Castle
We arrive at Wensleydale’s most famous landmark, the 14th century Bolton Castle which once housed Mary Queen of Scots, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy and photograph the magnificent views over Wensleydale, learn a bit about the history of the area from your Guide, or just have a leisurely Yorkshire Brew in the medieval castle’s Tea Room – the choice is yours!
Askrigg
We then take the scenic route towards Hawes, passing through Askrigg, the fictional village of Darrowby in the James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small TV series.

5.00We had a fantastic day out. Chris our driver was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. He was very friendly and quickly worked out what things we would like to see. The Dales were stunning. Bolton Castle was decorated for Halloween. So many things to see. Cheese tasting in the Wensleydale creamery. Lunch there was 1st class. Minibus was clean and comfortable. I couldn't fault anything. Big thank you to Chris as he made our day great. I would definitely book a tour again.

5.00We had such a great time. Our guide, Howard, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and history and sites. We had plenty of opportunity to get out and explore, take pictures and see many sights. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the Dales.

5.00Had the best day out with Howard yesterday. As a Yorkshire Dales local there was nothing he didn’t know. His commentary and knowledge made for the best day out - and not even the rain and wind could ruin our day! Get on this tour!!

5.00Howard was a wonderful guide through the dales, where he was brought up. He neither explained too much nor too little, which is a rare capacity in a guide. He navigated all the narrow roads (lanes?) with skill and was ready to stop whenever we wanted pix. The villages are charming, including those where both versions of "All Creatures Great and Small" were filmed, but the real star of the tour is the gorgeous countryside.

5.00What a fantastic tour of the Dales we had. Lucy went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and location preferences to make our tour as perfect as possible. The itinerary she and Alan suggested was exactly what I’d hoped for and we had an unforgettable day. What a beautiful place the Yorkshire Dales are and not only was Alan, our guide and driver, passionate about them but also very knowledgeable. When we next visit York we will definitely chose BOBH day trip tours and do the Yorkshire Moors and Whitby. Can’t wait!

5.00What a great experience to explore the beauty of yorkshire. In my four days trip all i can say is I enjoyed so much with the magical sceneries, & scrumptious traditional foods. Our the best tour guide mark is truly amazing he’s professional and knowledgeable enough with all the historical places which is I am into it. Our ate marlyn and sir keith thank you for this expectacular experienced.
