  • My favourite tour by Choose Balkans!!!

Choose Balkans never disappoints. They customized yet another trip for me to pick me up in the South to explore this amazing city. The guide I had was incredibly knowledgeable and this historical city. The day was fantastic, a smooth ride from Vlore to Gjirokaster...spent the day wondering the winding streets on the hillside, explored a 300 year old Ottoman house, the castle and enjoyed some delicious authentic lunch in the bazaar. On the trip back to Vlore, we stopped to get fresh water from the mountain side run off and pick up some local mountain tea. Such an epic day. One additional note..not really tour related but noteworthy. The tour guide was SUCH a nice guy. Just a great day spent with a solidly nice guy.

After previous good experiences with Choose Balkans I decided to explore another city. Gjirokastra was high on my list and it's a special city. It was very quiet and we had plenty of time to see everything. I especially liked the bazaar and the traditional rice balls were very tasty! The tour was well arranged and the guide was top notch.

Gjirokastra is absolutely a must if you are in Albania. Small stone city but, with a lot history to offer. We visited the castle, museum and the old bazaar. We captured some great photos as well.

Even though I’ve been living in tirana for some time I came across a paper telling about these unesco sites in Albania and gjirokastra was the gem. I immediately wanted to go there but work didn’t allow much of it and since it was a bit far I needed some assistance. Day tour of Choose balkans there was an option and seemed perfect for me and went for it. They were highly responsive and the staff was so welcoming and kind . Gjirokastra is not that big so we managed to go to all the best part including the old bazaar , the castle, the cute little store on the corners. The view was just awesome. I will definitely come back.

My husband and I wanted to visit Gjirokastra as one of the places part of Unesco in Albania. We contacted last minute Choose Balkans and they were very collaborative and accepted to do our tour. The stone city was fantastic, the old bazaar, the view from the castle and its history. Our guide Sokol made our tour of Gjirokaster very enjoyable. Thank you all Choose Balkans

As we were collecting information for what to visit while in Albania, Gjirokastra was one of the most important cities to be visited. After we saw online Choose Balkans we decided to book a tour with them. It was definitely worthy! The so called stone city, Unesco protected was amazing. As lot of history and beautiful sites to visit. Thank you to our guide Kreshnik for the unforgettable trip to Gjirokastra
